Could someone tell me how the hacked cars can get thru if you set a HP limit in your room. It will not let regular cars in but will let the hacks in. :grumpy:

Not possible to bypass the HP limit set in rooms.

Not all hybrids have ridiculous HP just so you know. Some are just engine swapped, drive train swapped, ect. So in result these will be within the limits of the PP system. This is the case for a lot of hybrids.

However, some people insist on using unrealistic/pointless high HP powered cars. Which some of these cars are able to bypass the PP system because they have a negative PP number. They cannot bypass the HP limit though.

The room you were in most likely had a PP limit and not a HP limit.

Sorry lock but your wrong on this one. My X1 can only be stopped by the weight restriction. You can limit the room from anywhere between 60-1479hp and the 300,000hp X1 will be right in there. Also the same HP on my Ford GT and it has the same results. I guess the game can't recognize a horsepower of that magnitude so it lets it right In.

I find this hard to believe. I'd have to see it for myself. I don't recall this being an issue with previous hacks.

Well I can join your room and show you when I'm off work in 3 hours if you would like.

Go ahead and send me a friend request I should have an open spot: jgancherjr.. And yes it was the same before the patch and as a matter of fact they only had to be about 65,000hp

Maybe later tonight, not home at the moment. Not that I don't believe you, but I see a lot of stuff on here that isn't true and unless someone I trust has seen it, I tend to disbelieve a lot of things.

Oh ok. Thanks for informing me about this.
I guess this started happening after the V2.14 update?

I believe jgancherjr. He has a lot of knowledge of the ridiculous cars that he has fun with, so i wouldn't deny this.

Thank you I have seen it happen and to me when running a room and the kids just laugh at me cause they got in...Such a well written game :) But you can control it by the weight...?:dunce: I would like to send you a friends request...thanks...

No, it was my room and I had a HP limit set and they came right in...:grumpy:

It must be what jgancherjr was saying then. Like I said, that is new news to me too.

Once you get into negative PP levels the only thing that stops the ultra-ridiculous stuff getting on track is the weight limit and drivetrain restrictions. Any PP restriction, any HP restriction can be bypassed using cars beyond certain levels, same as back in 2.11
Again, this comes down to being a wise host, as these cars are also extremely susceptible to fuel depletion. Did this back in 2.11 with the 100,000bhp X1's, which if you have the throttle on full from the starting sequence, the car will have ran out of fuel even before the countdown to start had finished!

So turning fuel consumption up works or will the ridiculously overpowered cars run out of fuel quickly even at normal tire wear/fuel consumption levels?

Fuel depletion is the enemy of the ultra-ridiculous mods, like I mentioned. Anything over 2000bhp will generally last a maximum of one lap of Route X, and any really badly made ones will also have completely ruined a set of tyres by then aswell. "Realistic" powered mods will be less affected, but will still be affected nonetheless. There's only a tiny handful of cars that can bypass this fuelling issue, but you also have to be quite clever to perform this miracle.
The interesting thing about Drivetrain restrictions is that it'll keep the drivetrain swapped car out of it's original category AND the swapped category. If you were fortunate enough to be on track before the restrictions were enforced you would stay on track if your modded car fit the new restrictions, and though I haven't fully tested this in 2.14 this is how it worked previously,,,

Let me tell you a lttle story,,,,,,
You want to run a race with FF cars only, but Guy wants to bring out his Fiat Punto that he's converted to 4wd, he's a big cheating meanie, and doesn't like losing,, BOOOO!!
Fortunately you have added the FF restriction to the room. The game reads the car's drivetrain data and some other things, and despite the data sheet saying it's FF, the game has read somewhere in Guy's save that it has 4wd. Guy can't get back out on track and begins to curse and cry, YAY!!
Guy then asks for a 4wd race, so you change the regulations accordingly and all seems fine,,, for a second. The game has read his car has drive to all 4 wheels, but has also read that it's got the Punto body, and can therefore only have FF, so once again he fails the regulations, and can't race.

*Story based on actual events from 2.11, the names have been changed to project the identities of some complete morons who really should know better than to mess with someone clearly a great deal wiser than themselves*

My advise for anyone wanting to keep out the ridiculous cars - Tyre & Fuel consuption ON, Weight Limit and Drivetrain Restrictions ON. If you haven't taken these basic precautions and then still moan about how "frikkin hackers ruined my room!" it's your own fault for giving them the opportunity to get on track in the first place.

thank you I assure you I did not know this and no one on line would tell me anything maybe because they did not know..thank you for the infer...👍

The only couple problems I find is:

First; A 2000KG X1 with modded horsepower and the right gears would only take a few minutes to make and can still consistently run about 340 mph around Route X for two laps ( such as the 180,000hp HPA TT that's out there)

Second; a lot of cars cannot be driven with ANY drivetrain restriction such as all the "prototype" cars, Ford GT '02 etc.

So unfortunately there is always a way around and someone always finds a way .. Personally I do not care for the 30-60 second Route X cars, they over work the processor in your PS3, an they are quite annoying. I prefer realistic or just "cool looking" or "well functioning" mods, such as track cars or "tubbed out/wide stance" body styles.

What is modded HP...I was under the impression modding a car was over since 2.14 update...Or are you speaking of adding only certain parts on a car in some PC program? which then would be a hybrid car? :dunce:

Hybriding is back just like it was in V2.11. Some people still cheat with overly moded cars (like you are seeing), some like Jay and me, make realistic cars and don't cheat.

This. When I host and I see a stupid hybrid like a Fiat with an X1 chassis, I'll kick. If it's something realistic like a de-winged Evo X, then I won't care one bit. Compliments will be exchanged, and business will carry on like normal. :)

Exactly. Same here man.

Jay makes some crazy cars, but he is responsible with them, which I respect.

So, does 2.14 allow HP multiplier ? Hundreds of thousand HP car ... what's the point ?

There really isn't any point. And no the HP multiplier doesn't work anymore. Only thing I do is engine and full legitimate drive train swaps.

On tracks such as Nurburgring it's actually quite easy to beat a "time-machine" hybrid. Set fuel consumption/tire wear on (even normal works). The hybrid should be completely drained of fuel within a few minutes, reducing their speed to the typical 45mph when you run out of fuel. If it's RWD, the tires should be completely destroyed. Throttle control in a 10,000+HP car is next-to-impossible. Even traction control cannot save it.
In a 500PP lobby I was in, someone had the 300,000HP X2010, which was negative PP. He ran out of fuel before the first sector. My 500PP MX-5 easily trounced it. What's the point in having a "time-machine" hybrid if you can't run it for more than 3 miles?

Driving 30k X2010 is already hard enough even on straight line, and 300k HP ? I did 240K+ HP X2010 when I made 30k one for ZDUPH for Bspec Bob racing - it was insane to drive

Well I didn't know that...no one will tell me anything in GT5 cause I am a girl and they don't want me beating them...I truely loved the modded car and loved doing it. made me sick when all mine got wrapped out...:yuck:

 Sounds like that's their excuse for them being a bad driver. Too funny. Sorry that you have people like that making lame excuses.

Also will tell you this, if you see anyone with a X1 on track, you can disallow MR drive train in the restrictions, this will knock the car straight off the track. Even though the X1's drive train says "..." it actually is a MR, so it will be affected by that regulation.

Yeah, I have a couple cars with a simple 2JZ swap.

Yea most of them I can out drive or drive just as well as that do so they ail hit me and try to crash me out and crap like that...I love this game...I have like 100 friends but a lot of them act like ...... thanks for the information...👍

Thanks buddy! Appreciate the comments, same respect here! 👍 .. I've been on a little MineCraft binge but I'm kinda taking it easy on the hybrids.. I would hate to spend hours upon days building them just to have them patched again :(

To be brutally honest, if PD patch them out again they're focusing on the wrong game, especially considering how close GT6 is to it's provisional/promised release date. Make sure they have the correct restrictions in place for seasonal events and there would be no need to patch anything out. (Still haven't done a single event since seeing the ridiculous FF cars "drifting" exploits) Once GT6 hits the shelves I'll be reverting GT5 to whichever is the latest version that has these abilities retained and building cars once again just for my own pleasure, curiosity and to watch level zero Bobs struggle with a 500bhp, rwd MK1 Golf VR6! >:0)
