First Doom III was delayed. Now Half Life 2. Bastards.

Both HL2 and Doom 3 are going to be WELL worth their money, doom 3 is gonna scare the CRAP out of me, and HL2 is gonna make me just look around as much as possible for traps.

Half-Life was a good game but the ending sucked. I can't wait to get HL2.

Look at it this way.... would you rather Valve have more time to perfect HL2 rather than have it end up like Enter the Matrix? That game was extremely buggy because it was rushed for the May 15 release date. Even the original HL and GT3 were delayed. They went on to sell millions of copies.

I for one would rather have a delay than have a game full of bugs.

In what’s surely the bad news of the day for Valve, it appears that the source code for Half-Life 2 has been leaked. The apparent leak has the source code, complete with maps, sounds and so forth. More on the apparent leak can be found here. Thanks to reader kacperczak for the heads up on this story.

The source code is written in C++. I guess they haven't compiled it yet.

Well, they compile as they go. But you hang on to the source to make revisions, then recompile.

I just finish reading up at MegaGames that when HL2 comes out ATI will have it bundled with there new versions of the 9800 and the 9600 XT cards. http://www.megagames.com/news/html/hardware/h-l2bundledwith9800-9600xt.shtml Just a heads up on the game.

Wow that's really cool. I need a new video card anyway. Too bad ATI can SUCK MY HAIRY TOE!!! I wish NVidia would come back with a card of their former level of quality and bundle it with some fun game ... Halo for PC or something.

Its not bundled with the video card. When you get the video card you get a voucher(sp?) or something like that and you send it in to have HL2 shipped to you and you have to pay the shipping and handling.

I heard that you get a voucher to download HL2 off of Valve's Steam service. I wouldn't buy an ATi card anyway. ATi's Catalyst drivers suck LoudMusic's Hairy Toe and the XT models only increase clock speed and have a better cooling solution.
