Im am considering using another paid vacation day for tomorrow so I can play all day. Our EB games store is releasing the game tonight at midnight. We have a reserved copy like I said a few posts back but EB said we still need to grab a number some time today so we wont be last in line. There might be over 400 people there tonight (according to EB)!!!
If I remember correctly my x-box live game tag is CAMAROBOY69. I will add this into my sig.
edit: I AM taking tomorrow off. I am number 20 so I wont be in line very long tonight.
 
MEH I've got no more hols left this year so cant take any more time off. Ive already advised my g/f that I'll be "unavailable" all this weekend, and that she'll probably have to go to her parents' house !!!!!
 
got my copy reserved and waiting for me an EB right now!! im going tonite to pick it up like Camaroboy said the suspense is killing meee. I have school in the morning though so ill have to get through that :-\

Edit: by they way i heard there might be a 4 player coop. is that true or just a rumor?
 
Less than 6 hours until I have Halo 2 in my possesion. I'm going to a midnight sale! :D

false rumour. 2 player co-op, only splitscreen, no system link or online co-op.

but if you have a widescreen, it's not bad at all (vertical split)

Damn... I had planned on owning an Xbox by now, but I hadn't factored in gas expenses. Well, if I can get a few more raking jobs, I might be able to get an Xbox with Halo 2. We shall see.
 
This game is great, visually it's very nice but the sound is wonderful too, especially in surround. One things is for sure though, i can understand why Bungie were so protective of the story line. Talk about surprises!!

It was awesome.
Too bad the SP wasn't a litlle bit longer.I finished it in 9 hours on Normal difficulty.

Hey can someone tell me if you liked the single player on Halo 2? I heard it sucked compared to Halo 1. My friend sounded really mad about the single player but then he played multiplayer and he told me he was happy.

Yeah I'm liking it better than the first one :)
 
I never really got into the Halo 1 single player. I fel burdened to finish it. Every level felt the same. In Halo 2, there is much more variety. Sometimes you play as master chief, others you play as a covenant.

btw, the plasma sword is awsome, buy the game just for it!

I only played the single player for about 30 minutes and wasnt really into it so I started playing online and thats where its at.
 
Halo 2 is very very good! It is awesome, I played #1 alot and have now played #2 for a complete afternoon. My opinion is that graphically wise it's somewhat better textures shadows ect. Gameplay and story line is alot thicker better in many many ways. this is a stand alone title it cannot be compared to another game it in my opinion is what is keeping the x-box afloat. Now before getting offended about my comment on the x-box I know there are alot of good games for it but if it isn't a driving sim that uses a Force feedback wheel or halo I'm just not interested. Now if they had such a game and used the Force feedback wheels then I think they would smoke sony with the x box machine. Just an opinion and sorry about getting off of the subject. :)
 
They have tweaked alot of things. You can jump off anything without being hurt, you can't throw grenades as far, but frags seem to slide more. Dual weilding rocks, I recommend magnum and smg, or covenant pistol(only use charge blast) and smg.

Edit: Oh I forgot to ask this. I don't own the game myself but have neighbors who do so some of my time was spent watching. I kept on thinking they were crouching. When I played I did not seem to notice it. Any one else notice this? Did they make the characters shorter or the environments bigger?
 
The online set up is a bit strange too. It is weird how you are placed in a different room after each game. I ended up joining a couple "parties" online that way we could stay in the same room together. Again....Very strange set up. :boggled:
If anyone has any other hints or info on a better setup let me know.

With the alien sniper rifle (I don't know it's real name) there is a certain rate of fire which you keep up for a long time without overheating. I think finding that point would be of great use. Then again if you are a good sniper you won't need to shoot more that once or twice.
