My car still stinks of seaweed after driving round the shore road. We we're quite taken with it too and did the same with our lad, think I got some nice photos on the film SLR but need to get them processed. It would be a perfect place to stay for the Goodwood Festival.
On high tides it can go quite far up the road towards Goodwood. Legend says King Canute's daughter is buried in the church there. very nice area, quite a lot of Chichester harbour is.
