The wife threw me a surprise party yesterday. I got some guitar stuff since I expressed and interest in getting back to playing the guitar.

I have a Marshall Silver Jubilee on the way, and I got a new Palmer Speaker Simulator, which I've been needing for a couple of years. It soaks up the output power from the amp so I can turn it down, yet get the best from the Marshall (which means cranked to hell).

It was a great surprise and a great day. The boys and I enjoyed chocolate cake with milk chocolate icing and a scoop of Ben & Jerry's Chocolate Fudge Brownie ice cream. (Dutch boys love their chocolate)

Thanks again, fellas! Don't forget, other's celebrate their birthdays today, too.

So you celebrated your birthday yesterday instead?

Yep. Tonight, it's just the wife and me.

My sister and her family, my nephews, had plans for Friday, and the wife planned something for just us two. So, my friends and family came over yesterday. It was a nice surprise.

Oh, and my friend got me two new alarm clocks. During our Christmas party, he was over and chatting with me when my alarm clock went off. It's been going off frequently when the alarm was never even set. So, when it went off again during our conversation, I slowly and quietly got up, picked it up, yanked really hard to unplug it, and slammed it into the trash can and continued with the convo as if nothing happened; as calm as can be. He laughed his ass off, and brought me for my birthday TWO new alarm clocks since they fit my motif of silver and blue LEDs. Plus, were dirt cheap in case my explosive short temper with cheap crap that wont work correctly gets the better of me again.
