Why are some cars like the Ford 2000 AU XR8 so dam hard to get?

the V8 supercar is one of the rarest car in the game.
you really have to have a ton of luck to find it.
so, good luck finding it!

You could ask some of your friends to put it up on share and then use the permenant borrow app to "steal" it.

I have one now but it took a lot of work to get it. Had to reload the USD by loading the b licence section untill it showed up also had to keep checking the amount of game days on the GT5 Cars page.

Rare car? How about the KENWOOD NSX? I've only seen it once in the either UCD.
When I got the $$ to buy it, it was gone. Have not seen it since. It's been over two years.

While on the subject, the scanning of Bathurst would indicate that we could have a slew of V8 Super Cars on the way in GT6 similar to the influx of NASCAR and Touring Cars.
That would be nice indeed. Along with Philip Island and a few other Aussie tracks.

You need to be Level 19.
So you meet the requirements. 👍

(I.e. - once it shows up, if you can afford it - you can buy it.)

I didn't think you had to be at a certain level to buy a standard car. As long as you have the money when it shows up in the UCD, you should be able to buy it. I'm pretty sure that level 19 just means that it is a level 19 ticket car, not that you have to be at level 19 to buy it.

I have only had the game a little over 4 months, and i now have 3 of those, also have 2 of the road going version.

Other rare cars i have are the Ford AU 2000 Falcon XR8, Lister Storm, Nissan R390 Road Car, Esperante GTR-1, CLK LM Race Car, RX-8 Concept LM, and 3x FTO Super Touring Car.

I'm fairly sure that if you try to buy a car that is at a level higher than yours - it doesn't allow you to purchase it.

Nope, you are mistaken. I just went onto one of my sub accounts which is level 12 A-Spec and bought a Bently Speed 8 from the UCD which is a higher level car than the level I am at.
