I hate it. It is the reason whill im up now. It fills like im breathing fire. It will not go away  Sorry if i spelled anything rong but i just got up and im not all here now

Tums, tum tums tums tums! Calciums!

Take 2 of em, fix ya up real quick! :)

I get heartburn too, tums fixes it right up, and you get calcium out of it.

I get heartburn the weirdest way, through to much soda, or apple juice kills me. The only things that I can drink and never feel the effects of heartburn is milk and water. Everything else can give heartburn if I am not careful. Weird huh? :thatsodd:

I take tums too, fixes the worst cases in like five min. flat.

Same here. Most people expect spicy or greasy foods to cause hearburn but I get it from sweets i.e. soda or fruit juice, and chocolate.

Oh, and that pepperoni on the pizza last night :(

My wife's pregnancy is causeing her a lot of heartburn and it doesn't matter what she eats. SO between the two of us we're going through an entire big bottle every two weeks.

There was no other reason for you to be up at 8:00 AM?

By the way... how's school going?

You mean I am not the only that gets it from drinks. WOW! I never knew there someone else out there like me! I never get it from any food, just drinks!

I get it from food, too. The first time I ever had heartburn I was camping with my family and it woke me up in the middle of the night. I figured I just needed to wash whatever it was down (not knowing what it was), so I started drinking soda. Big mistake :shakehead

If you're getting heartburn that often, you NEED to tell your doctor.
You may have Gastro-Esophogeal Reflux Disease. (GERD)
While GERD is serious, it is easily treated.
The doc may put you on a drug like Prevacid, Prilosec, or Protonix.

Again GERD can be quite serious, it is the precursor to ulcers.

As for home remedies. My wife insists on buying the fruit flavored Tums. I think they are the ultimate "Bernie Botts every flavor Jelly beans" Only, none of the good flavors.
I usually fill a coffee cup with fairly cold water, add one teaspoon of Baking Soda, stir, and drink very quickly. Nothing like a good old fashioned Bicarb of Soda to cure Heartburn. Just stay upright for about 30 minutes after you take it.

Heartburns suck, I get them from bread, or cheap oily pizza, (may be I should stop eating cheat ****), oh yeah and I find that coke takes care of the problem for me.

I honestly can't understand how Coke could help alleviate heartburn. It is loaded with acid , the thing that causes heartburn. :thatsodd:
