ive done both.
i did 24hours lemans in a Pugeot 908 and 24 hour at nurburgring i did it in a ferrari p4 race car On aspec. on bspec i just used x1.

Beating an endurance race in B-spec can cost you to frequently stay in front of the screen so that you don't let your bob slow down to be overtaken by other adversaries, kinda so weary. :(

I had exams when i did it on bspec. so i just put it into a race then revised for my exams.

A friend and I will be doing the 24hr races straight through one of these days. Did the grand valley endurance so far without any pauses or saves. Just have to get the right days to have time for more.

Ive done them all several times inc 5 24hr A-spec races of which 1 was done in realtime, Also done them all several times in B-spec but only 2 24hr cars.

Now you must have heaps of time on your hands. LOL :sly:

I have to applaud you for your efforts this is a fantastic achievement dude. 👍

Well Done. :)

Welcome to GTPlanet Ollie,

I completed the 24 Hours of Le Mans back before mid race saves. I think I did it over the course of 8 days pausing and leaving the system on between sessions. It was my favorite GT5 experience and is something I'm glad I did. I used the 787B and had clear skies the entire race. My wife didn't particularly love it because we only had Netflix at the time, no cable, and we couldn't use that until I finished. I hope to do the Nürburgring 24 hours at some point but haven't had the motivation to play lately.

Thanks mate :)

WoW sounds good i cant wait im only on level 24 atm havent even unlocked the Endurance Racers but will soon :) lol

Im looking forward to doing it as well everyone so far says there glad they did it and yes it takes anywhere between 7days through to 14 days depending on time and availability to play it. I also have a GF always nagging to spend time with her and get of the PS3 but i have somehow convinced her to sit next to me and watch while i race hahaha hopefully she will do the same for the 24hr events hahahaha :sly:

I also had no motivation to play up untill a couple of weeks ago when i gathered with a couple of friends and was involved in a conversation about GT5.

Anyways thanks for the welcome. Good to hear that you've completed it and enjoyed it as well.👍

Same here having completed on first account went onto a 2nd then a third. Over 1500 cars, 83 X2010, and 200,000 miles scattered over these accounts.

I did the 300km Grand Valley Speedway took me 2hours 3minutes exact with the red Evo9 HKS version. It was easy but heaps of fun!!!! :) 👍

I just did one online

Used Cusco Scooby 👍

I always plan to start the 24Hr race but never did, I'm procrastinating on GT5 lol

The only 24 hour endurance race I completed was with my B spec driver. 24 hours at Le Mans. Then the very next day my optical output quit working. Shortly after that disk read errors and wouldnt play some blu ray players. That event killed the PS3 after that event. So we purchased a new PS3 and this time with a 2 year warranty. So if it dies after the level 40 24 hour endurance race at Nurburgring, I get another PS3 for free. And that will be the last endurance race I ever complete. Well I cant say "I" its technically the B spec racer. :sly:

So if you attempt the 24 hour endurance races, dont be surprised if your PS3 starts having issues. Mine was out in the open and VERY well ventilated and still died. And was the slim which was only 2 years old.

I have to admit, having the "Mid Race Save during A spec" would be nice for sure. Too bad thats not available in B spec mode. Probably could have saved my ps3.

That's no good mate, terrible in fact. I've done two Bspecs and the online one with no problems at all and I did them with a release day fatty 👍

I've done the A-Spec Le Mans 24H, and it was honestly the best race I've ever done. I did it in my tuned Dodge Viper ACR, and it was a PROPER race the whole way through, between me, a GT-One and a Bentley. It took me about a week to do (got a busy life) but I really enjoyed it. I won by just 2.4s, that's how close it was.

wow sounds real tough this race. Am i able to save the race half way through? Or do i have to leave my PS3 on for 7days straight or longer? Sorry i need to make sure whats available to me prior to me even considering starting it!!

Thanks.

You can suspend a endurance race anytime you want when you enter the pits.

And when you suspend the race in pits, are you able to enter the race from there the next day even if you turn the PS3 off? Because i dont want my PS3 to blow up LOL :sly:

When you suspend the race, it will save and prompt you to exit to XMB.
The next time you load up GT5, it will load the save from last time you suspended it, load the cars, then you can go to track and keep on racing.

Beautiful, i like the sounds of that. 👍

The idea of keeping my PS3 on for 7-8-9-10 how ever many days is a little bit of a concern.

Anwyays. Thanks for your advice and help. Appreciate it. :)

I did the nurburgring 24hr in the Mazda 787b in november 2011
Started on a friday and finished tue/wed
Was a really good race and not one that you're 100% sure you will win

Started off fine and always gaining distance, then it got dark wich makes it alot harder, then it rained a little, then a lot
But getting to see the sun set and rise on the ring was awsome

One thing i found is that R/S seemed to be better even on 100% wet than R/Rain

Still havnt done the Sarthe 24hr yet but deffo goin to do it

Nice work dude. Hands down i applaud everyone that has completed the event. It defiantly isnt easy so well done. 👍

As for myself, I haven't finished any of the 24hrs races... :scared: Not even in B-Spec...I can't play for more than an hour at the moment...

Once I have some free time, I'll do them ;)
