That's what I'm trying to do atm. Really difficult. But I substituted R2 and L2 for throttle and brake

I did it!!! Honestly, you can't even begin to imagine how happy I am right now! :dopey:

In the beginning, there was the Ring. Very challenging stuff, but somehow I managed to squeeze just under time limit with about 0.04 seconds to spare after many attempts and watching over an hour of footage on YouTube.

Then, I tried Monza and golded it in first attempt. You may mock about it, but that's a fact. Again, with less than 0.1 seconds to spare.

Suzuka on the other hand, was immensely difficult. I was stuck at 2:10.8 for a long time, but today it came to me. I knew I could beat it if only I can put two clean laps together. And finally, after about four or five hours of playing in total, I've got three beautiful gold cups. But what's more important, I will never have to drive this ghastly car again. EVER.

Make no mistake though, I'm NOT an exceptional driver. I just love GT series and have been playing it since the original GT1, always using humble dualshocks, and it was only with GT4 when I switched to analog stick.

Here are my settings for the challenge:
Transmission: Automatic (less to think about)
TCS: 0
ASM: off
SRF: on
ABS: 10
brake balance: 10/10 (very important, remember to program the RA menu on your gamepad)
Controller sensitivity: 7

This car fries my brain. I can't even do one clean lap at half throttle. I prefer unmodified kei cars LOL.

Sometimes I am finding it is easier to learn the tracks by going as fast as you can around a corner, then gping faster. use the ripple strips for braking/throttle judging. ive silvered monza at 2:04.6XX and I've given nur a rest for time being. atm I'm 1 1/2 hours into first tsukuba 9 hour attempt in the new stingray on r/mediums

In answer to your question, yes, plenty of people have golded these events with a controller.

Done well 10/10 and for me it's never going to happen LOL
