We don't need to post there because they read here too.

I would hope so, this site is light years ahead of the "official" one. GTP members are much more diverse and have a variety of opinions, all of which can be discussed without flaming or locking most threads. Thanks GTP.

personally, i despise custom liveries. it usually results in a ugly looking cars. i'm pretty sure in the full GT5 you will have cars with livery as there were in GT4. i'm all for 1080p because in a year or two, any games that less than that just wouldn't cut it. I'm pretty sure that by the time GT5 is complete, the problem with frame rate drop and screen tearing will be resolved. i happen to have a 120hz LCD TV and the tear is still a problem. the problem with forza 2 is that the cars look like **** and there's no excuse for that especially in a racing game. the lighting looks fake; even GT4 got dynamic lighting right. there might be more stuff going on on the side of the track at suzuka but the color is off. there's way too much red and brown in the hue- it makes the game look pretty but reality isn't pretty most of the time. the clouds in forza2 look ominous and overly dramatic most of the time. personally i think DIRT achieved the look better that Forza2. I'm glad GT5P doesn't look anything like that.

Firstly the ability to create your own custom liveries or replicas, is a huge avantage, one that PD should take advantage of.

As for them looking ugly, heres my Vitaphone MC12 i made with the Forza2 livery editor, and no thats not the R2 mc12 but an S class MC12, looks pretty sweet to me.

As for forza2 looking ugly thats total BS, they might not be up to GT5p standard but compareing GT5p to an older game like FM2 is kinda harsh.
Atleast Forza fans dont have to wait untill their old and grey for their next FM installment, T10 do create quality product within a reasonable timeframe, the same cannot be said of PD.

As for the tracks/environments, atleast FM2 look gritty and real, GT5p's tracks have come out looking really artificial, there way too clean looking, heck you could eat your food of of any part of the track including the grass, everything looks like its just gone through the wash.

It just comes out looking too artificial, wheres the look that makes you feel this track has driven on a million times?

It's not that im Anti-GT im not, it's just that PD arnt living up to expectations, and their falling behind the competition, im criticall because i want to see PD stop relying of Graphics and volume of cars, and start putting more effort into other areas of the game which are falling behide the competition, as well as showing more inventivness by creating something totally fresh to the raceing sim genre.

On the Playstation Blog a member made a comment with a reference to GTP and how they should see what we have to say. One of the Sony devs answered saying that they do visit GTP. We even have a thread about it here somewhere.

So, yeah they are seeing what we say. They don't make themselves known on here because they would get flooded with questions and PMs.

The knowledge that they are watching is enough to keep me thinking that any serious suggestions or comments I can make will be looked at, especially if it is something that many members agree on.

I do have one complaint about GT5:P and that is in standard handling all the cars understeer way too much. other than that I love the game.

In the words of Kazunori Yamauchi, "We've actually added the standard and the professional mode in the game. The professional mode is the full-on simulator and it's true to life, but the standard mode makes it a lot easier to drive, and I think we're trying to cover a lot of those demands with that mode."

Standard physics are basically a minor tweak on GT4 physics, as I understand it, and GT4 did favor understeer a bit.

The handling in GT4 was way better than it is in standard handling mode. All cars understeer way too much for me and some cars are seriously hard to control with simulation mode while using the controller.
