Have at least 6 to 12 nameable tune setup saves per car.

Three setup saves isn't even close to the number needed.
Six is not enough either, but it beats the heck out of three.
Likewise they need to be nameable.

Or they could do like SMS did with Shift 2 and let players save a setup for each car at each track, with setups being loaded automatically.

I'm not opposed to the method for doing it, as long as more tuning setup saves are made available.

That is essentially what GT3 did, so it's still so weird that even in the days of mandatory hard drives and online play the current system still is made up of the clunky system from GT4

Why even have a limited number? Could just remember all previously used set ups and have the game order the list based on the event or race your entering and the suitability.
