I don't know what came over me.... I'd got back up to 20 million, and was spending time trying to change my bronze cups to silver / gold in the licenses until something popped up in the UCD that I wanted.

For only the second time since I've been playing (Christmas) the Bentley 8 came up for 5.6 million.

I bought it. And I already have one....

I suppose in the back of my mind I thought that the one I have is racking up the miles, has had two rebuilds and I stupidly stiffened the suspension when I bought it (which can't be undone)... so I thought I'd get a "virgin" one (even though it has over 1000 miles on it).

Still, it's not all bad... I took it for a spin "as is" and it's lap times bettered my old one, which has a turbo stage 3.... but that might have been because I switched the stability management off....

Oh well, thank goodness it's not real money, eh??:scared:
 
I always do. One for modding, one to keep stock. I won an old Camaro at one point, which looks nice in red, but Camaros need to be blue with white stripes. So I bought another one as soon one in the "right" colour appeared.

I once spent 2.5m on a Ford GT LM Race Car Spec II for the Dream Car Championship, only to find that that exact car is the prize :crazy:

Oh, and I have 5 Dodge Chargers. Just because they're awesome. :sly:
 
I have several duplicates.

3 Premium Z06 Corvettes in different levels of tune.

2 Premium S2000s in different colors and configuration

4 2010 Camaros. 2 are RMs though.


Bought an extra GT40 No Stripe to give to a friend who was looking for one.
 
I have a lot of double cars...
Just like to collect cars (mostly premiums) in different colours.
And some because they're just awesome :)

2 suby spec c rm one gold chrome and one silver chrome for my team (and a third when i get home with pink rims and a black mettalic paint
 
I have 8 R32 skylines, one for drifting, one for fun, one unmodded, etc. You can't have too many. ;)

Phew... I'm glad it's not just me with no willpower!!

Good point about different tunes... that would save you having to remember settings etc.

Pity you can't paint the Bentley, would've looked nice in another colour.

Sorting by manufacturer is probably the easiest way, since it will narrow things down the most.

I fully expect to buy two of any street car that I really like, one to not have any non-removable upgrades, and one to see what it's truly capable of. Maybe a third if I want a racy car that isn't completely maxed out(I'm looking at YOU, 430Scud). Or one that is lightened but no engine tuning.

I very early on bought 2 2010 Camaros, one to keep 100% stock(except for adding comfort tires for rain and for when I want a more street-like feel), and one that is upgraded partially. I'm sure I'll soon buy one to fully upgrade, at least one to race mod, and one to have all the removable upgrades on. Love that car.
 
I have 20 F40s. Needed to free up room for Bspec earnings.

Absolutely. I have one for tuning and one stock of some of my favorite cars.
 
I have 300 premiums and only 200 standards lol,

All mt fave rides I have 1 stock at 0miles/0changes, 1 fully tuned 1 made 'sporty' then alternate colours if I just cant decide on which way to go :)
 
traded a Tank car then won one straight after so now one is fully ballasted and the other aint
 
I like the rare / cool / classics in UCD, I got:

NISMO, Spoons, Amuse's, MINEs, Mugen, Operas are all doubled or tripled..

M3 gtr's & csl's, Esprit 350s, 205 T16s, Golf GTi's, 190E's, RS EVO's (all), Spec Cs and 22Bs, Nissan 240 RSs etc etc coming out of my ears - NOT ONE OF THEM IS DUPED EITHER.

Yes, car collecting is compulsive.

Also, the muppets who made this game only putting one setup per car and irreversable tuning in the game doesn't help either.

(Yep, I know there's ballast and power limiter in the game, it's just a shame both can be 'glitched' to artificially enhance the performance of your car - even with restrictions in place, like I say.....MUPPETS).
 
Of cause i do. Some of them are price cars, which i bought before i got them, which is a little stupid, but generally two of each car i really like. One tuned and one that is stock. And then some of them i have more then two of just because i like them so much and i don't want to find my self in the situation that i lack one in case i want to try a new setup.

Duplication (by buying, not buggering about with game saves) strategy so far is to have 2 versions of all the cars you can RM, 1 remaining stock. The 68 Camaro I have 4 of, 1 standard, 1 premium vergin, 1 prem tuned and 1 prem RM. Not totally sure why cos I never drive any of 'em.

PS how do you 'glitch' the ballast & power limiter?

Nowhere near as impressive as anything else but I have 5 midgets and 4 gokarts.
 
I'm planning on have duplicates, but not for a while. Having 2 so that I can keep one stock and 1 for modding.

I have about 8 ZR1 Rm's, 4 IS-F 07 Rm's, All the FGT's, 3 F2007's, 3 F10's, 5 Furais, 6 GT1's, 2 of each RM, all color's Rx-7 lm's, at least 2 of every premium car....I'm a fan of doubles :)
