its not a 360... the originals didn't have a 50% fail rate lol but it did have iirc a 11% failure rate

but the slim version is a lot better than the "newer" old models a lot more silent with better cooling

Thats why i'm getting the Slim Version simply because they run cooler đź‘Ť

The Fat one's Fan sounds like a Helicopter Blade when I play GT5P for more than a few hours :dopey:


know what you mean , i'm on me 2nd 360 but at least it had a 3 year Warranty

Lol true to the 3 year warranty

but no fanboyism here it needed the 3 year warranty M$ got greedy and lazzy with there heatsinks

But with the ps3 slim (320GB Move bundle) I never heard it cry due to heat but also could be they limited the fan speed (i hope not) to save fan noise
and i cracked out on LBP for quite a few hours (a lot more graphics there than you would think)
 
I went to six different videogame and electronic stores today. Some of them already got the game and others where getting it tomorrow.
Man it`s fustrating to know that it just sits there waiting for next Wednesday:grumpy:
 
For those who pre ordered at Gamestop or Wallmart, did you guys get the bonus code after you pre ordered it or are you going to get it once you pick up the game?? i pre ordered mine at Best Buy but I was also gona do it at gamestop and wallmart for the codes and then just cancel the pre order later on.
 
Hey guys long time reader first time poster.

sorry if this has already been mentioned but if you've had the game on pre-order for a while remember to check your card details are up to date. Luckily I just checked my order on shopto.net and the card I had originally used had expired. I would have been gutted if shipment was delayed because of something avoidable like that.

I pre-ordered the Collector's Edition on the June 9 and my order status say that its back-ordered :( (I'm in Canada ) Is it the same for the US?

Nope haven't pre-ordered mine... If I see a collectors/signature edition around I'll buy it, however.. since I'd like to wait until I get a HD TV, which is at the very earliest the 26th (pay day ;)) then I don't need to rush out and buy the game, and since seeing the car and track lists I no longer feel the need to rush out and buy the game.
 
Has anyone receved a shiping confirmation from amanzon yet? I know there pretty good about releasing games and trying to get them to you as soon as posible but for gt5 it says mine wount shipp till the 26th! that cant be right
 
pre-ordered last night on Amazon.co.uk with deliver on release day option...

I am still hoping that it will be delivered early :dopey:
 
I should be getting a review copy in the next few days (I write for a games review site amongst other things) but I have pre-ordered the SE. I wasn't going to but then I saw the unboxing video on the front page and thought 'Sod it, I've waited five years for this!'

I pre ordered my copy at GAME. It's not an online pre order though so I'll be going into the store to pick it up. Sort of wish I did it online hearing all these people getting it early but oh well!
 
Just pre-ordered, I am a tight git so have been voucher code hunting and managed to get ÂŁ4 off the price at Blockbuster, ÂŁ32.99 with free delivery. I am very happy. :D

You need to choose First Class delivery to have it by the 24th :)

Don't worry, I have faith that GT6 will be the game I have waited for...

.. besides, the people that deserve our pity are those that can't afford to replace there awful Standard Definition 50" rear projection TV's with even half decent HD ones.. and therefore are unable to enjoy virtually any PS3 game! ;)
 
Pre ordered it twice. Once in Gamestation but when I asked they said they didn't know how much they would sell it for on release date but I didn't have to put a deposit down. Then I pre-odered one from HMV with a ÂŁ10 deposit and I get 2 cars straight away. So on Wednesday (or if they decide to sell it earlier) I should have to pay ÂŁ29.99.

I may end up with 2 text messages from them both saying they have it in but my Dad pre-ordered his Medal of Honor from the same shop and wasn't alerted like they said he would.

I was gonna pre order till I saw what day it was coming out. Unless you order a next day delivery you may not get your game till Monday. Shipping slows down that holiday weekend. I work for a major shipping company in the US. Just something to think about

Contacted HMV today and they wont release it until 26th :( Does anyone know if I am sure to get the 2 stealth cars offered by HMV?
 
just re - pre ordered from my local gamestop in Austin TX. one of the guys said no midnight release because they need people for black Friday to be there at 4am. I got the new girl behind the counter who was still learning the system. she asked me if i need the ps3 version,:ouch: so i just said yes. told her I needed to pre order and paid it off. then she asked the other guy who i think was the manager if it was out yet.:dunce: he said no it comes out Tuesday, I said Wednesday, he then again said Tuesday. then realized that it was Wednesday. this wasn't the normal gamestop crew who are usually pretty good. but I checked the receipt closely to make sure she didn't make any mistakes.:nervous:
 
Got my CE pre-ordered on the 25th of July. I wonder if any EB Games stores would let us pick it up early...

Hypothetically speaking, I'd do it if Sony eventually releases the cars as a DLC pack.
 
I've pre-ordered it at Amazon, got a delivery deadline for the 26th, canceled it and pre-ordered it at my local FNAC. I went there on Friday they said yes ok we have the game but no Signature Edition. So I'll come back on Wednesday to finally get my hand on that game.
 
When i first heard of the Signature Edition back in the middle of the year, i put a $50 deposit on it straight away on the same day at Electronic Boutique, that money was intentional to be spent on phone credit, but Gran Turismo always comes first:)

Cant wait for this Thursday to open it up:)
