I am confused, my order form walmart is:

Gran Turismo 5 w/ Bonus Honda NSX GT500 Stealth Model Car (PS3)

Yet I've paid $59.96 ..... so, the price is standard but it comes with an NSX? is that an error on their side?

Also I emailed them 3 times, no reply other than generic automated to call ARGHHH
 
Well I preordered the CE from Newegg YESTERDAY. I know I shouldn't have waited this long and now I don't know when I will get the game. :indiff:

It's probably just a shop specific pre-order bonus.
 
Just a bit of advice to everyone...

If you have the CE pre-ordered....do yourself a favor and also put $5 down on a normal copy of the game. That's what I did for the simple fact that I might arrive at Gamestop Wednesday morning for them to tell me "Sorry sir...we only received the normal version of the game...the Collector's Edition is running 1 day late".

Play normal version...and then sell on Ebay when your Collector's comes in. Gotta plan for the worst case scenario people.
 
Just pre-ordered the game. I live near a Gamestop that no one really knows about in NEW YORK. I could of just pick it up when it comes out, plus they are releasing it a day before - tomorrow the 23rd. My heart is beating so fast. No sleep tonight. See you guys on the track.

Collectors Edition back in September from Game Stop, it will be mine within days.
 
No, because the TNT Post (mail delivery company in the netherlands) is on strike, which would mean i would get it much later, then some kid that get's to the store in the morning to pick it up by himself.

That's why i will be that kid.
 
I ordered the CE about a week or so after it was announced (the CE edition), I checked the status of it today and it says "Open"
Whatever that means...

I pre-ordered the Collector's Edition on the June 9 and my order status say that its back-ordered :( (I'm in Canada ) Is it the same for the US?

Same in the US!! Ordered mine in June as well. Completely unacceptable if you ask me.
 
As with most CE's, it's a limited production. Which means if you order one, no matter when you order it, there is always a chance that you wont get it on release day.

There's only so many to go around, and they are spread out much more than the normal version. Not only that, but naturally they take longer to produce, so I dont think its realistic to think that every single CE they planned on producing will be ready by release day.

Why? Well from what they've said, PD was still working on this game 3 weeks ago, hence the delay, so in that time theyve had to try to produce millions of standard editions. If you ordered the CE, you kinda take a risk at not getting on release day. I always felt like that just came with ordering limited versions. You may have to wait for it. Some will get it on time, some wont.

well just got the news today from my local Ebgames that they dint get CE might be 2 days late . I have my backup plan which is waiting 1 hour before midnight at another store
 
I preordered the CE in July. In the time since my credit card expired and I got a new one. Just a few minutes ago, I noticed I had an email that said they had tried to bill me for it. The website won't let me update it so I guess I have to call tomorrow. :ouch:

posted this in another thread, but my debit card was charged and my order still says backordered. I call gamestop customer support, gave them my order # and he verified that its ready to ship tomorrow via overnight delivery. He said they gauarantee I receive it on release day 24th. might try giving them a call and see whats going on. (800) 883-8895 is their number. Open 0800-2100 CST.

I have had mine preordered for months but its still listed as 'not yet shipped.'
 
Could not find a single place in Canada where the CE was available to order/pre-order. EB Games (gamestop) told me they were sold out of pre-orders on the CE in September...
 
I pre-ordered CE at Best Buy because I want the game at midnight. I don't trust shipping to get here vs me picking it up and playing the same day. Plus there was no way in the world I was going to risk not having this game on opening day.

i imagine they'll ship it out the 23rd overnight and get it to you the 24th.

Same here... I also got release-day delivery which I doubt is going to come.
 
Barring some kind of unknown issue, I wouldn't worry too much about Amazon RDD - the last two games I used that for (NHL '11 and NFS: Hot Pursuit) both arrived on delivery day. NFS: HP was shipped out the day before (only went in transit at 6:49 PM, in fact) and arrived the day after at 9:53AM.

And I guess this also marks my first post, so hi! I have my DFGT at the ready and am awaiting an order of a Wheelstand Pro. :) Looking forward to racing with you guys.
 
Sorry for the new question, I pre-ordered last week at Best buy. I wonder if anyone knows if they will be opening their doors at midnight today for the release?
 
I bought the American CE @ cduniverse.com but they will ship only next week.. So I also brought a regular version to pick up tomorrow and play until my CE arrives..

Well I placed my ordered for the CE on 11/15 on amazon, and my order is now processing with a status of shipping soon, which basically means shipping out today for delivery tomorrow.
