68? Wow, what kind of files were you downloading? I have never contracted a virus from P2P files.

well... i got them when d/l small .exe and .zip files from 1 user, although none of them had enough data d/l to open the file and use the virus on my pc

i use norton antivirus and any file that i d/l is scanned telling me ahead of time if theres a virus

Virus? Huh? What is this foreign object that you speak of? ;)

(On a more serious note though, I never have contracted one... though, now that Apple's OS is based on Unix, there certainly is a much higher probability of doing so, but still not as bad...)

I've only ever downloaded one infected file, and Norton picked that up pretty sharp. Fortunately, having broadband, downloading a 300MB file only to find it's infected is just an inconvenience! ;)

Never got any.

The only virus we've had on either of our 2 PCs was on our Presario...years ago the Charnoble virus came out and the news told everyone to not be on the net that night...guess who was on...MY DAD. Bing we got infected and the PC crashed and burned(shoulda atleast) and it was never the same...

Yes... from a d/l on Kazaa for Trillian Pro. I scanned it before opening, after opening and nothing showed up. Then i installed and my Nortan said it found a backdoor virus. I just had to re-install windows 2 days ago becuase of a virus and now im sweatin it again.

i've had one before, it was before morpheus upgraded and it was just somthing you could get by being connected to their network thing.. had to re-install my whole computer, luckly my friend knew what kinda virus it was so i didn't loose any of my hundreds of pics i had D/Led and taken myself.

I wound up with a boot sector virus about 4 years ago; only re-installing the OS and apps again ever made it better.

1. Get AV software
2. Never leave a floppy disk in your A: drive when you turn the 'puter on.

Ambiguous titles keep us all frustrated, and yet...curious. Sort of like good TV commercials.
