I have a new set of pistons and rods for it. Need to order new bearings. Normally I would've left it at 9.0:1, but they guy I bought it from gave me the 9.5:1s to seal the deal. Might as well toss them in.

A half a point bump in compression has to be worth something on a small motor like that.

I want to start a Mercedes blog.... I love these cars. :)

Found a set of Tein Pillowball tophats for my coilovers. They are taller than my current tophats, so I'll gain a little travel. I like the color a lot too, they will match my Mazdaspeed airbox.

Got a new shock tower brace to replace my old Cusco. The colors on this one match a bit better. Made by Mazdaspeed.

Oh, come on. Really Mazdaspeed? These don't fit together?

How exactly did that happen?
The test pipe high centered on one of those spike strips at the entrance to a parking structure. The spikes should retract, but the test pipe isn't very thick metal so the spikes just dug right into it.

Finally able to drive the car again after some exhaust drama. Its stock...

On its way out, the old exhaust nicked the gas tank and driveshaft. Lovely.

Congrats on the coil overs. I agree they make a HUGE difference in ride quality. Plus its just so nice to be able to dial in the ride height and stiffness at any time. 👍
