Hi everybody,
I'm turning 17 in 2 days, and I got a PS3 with Gran Turismo 5 2 days early, thanks to my great parents. I know there are over 1000 cars to collect, but it doesn't seem to be going very fast. Can anyone please tell me how I can build up my empire of car collecting? And how do I get more gear and such?
 
1st this isn't supposed to be in this sub forum
2nd you need to do trades races buy cars as you should know you get 10 paints and mc everyday so you know how to get those the cars you can win or buy them or trade for them alot of people trade for the cars they need such as non paintable cars but it's going to be kind of hard to get alot of race cars because most of the race cars are over a million and you can't trade anything over a million i hope that helped if you want gear i might beable to send you some

well you should buy what ever makes you happy i would suggest anything good that you can afford from the ucd but if you need any cars and you don't mind waiting i might beable to help you out just check my signature

I chose the Autozam, but the Honda Civic Type R is the best starter car.

The most popular first cars are the Honda Civic Type R EK 1997 and Mazda MX-5.

used car dealership it has cars that you can win or trade for none of the ucd cars you can buy in the dealership

The quickest way is to get a mini and grind the seasonals 👍
 
Wow, you can get a lot of money with those seasonals compared to normal races... Is there a limit per day or something?

also there is something called a borrow glitch and if you do it right you will keep the car you borrow from a friend

I can share one but it doesn't have a circuit tune for la festa cavalino race on circuit de la sarthe
 
@Volkswagen there is a way to get cars over 1 million its something called the borrow glitch someone found out how to do this glitch i guess because you can't send a car over 1 million if you want to know how to do it and there is a car i have that you want just let me know
 
Uhm, since I'm just starting this game, I want to kinda see how far I can get on my own withouth glitching, but I'll maybe come back for that later, thanks for the offer. As for the sharing thing, what do you mean by that. Can I borrow cars? For how long and how?

yes you can if a friend has a car shared online his friends can borrow them and it is unlimited time but you can't use the cars online and good choice on not glitching
 
Add friends, then go to profile on xmb then select the friend with the car you want to borrow, you will then see the car's they have to share then click on the car and keep it for as long as you need.

but you can only use the cars offline

Yes you can and for as long as the person whos car it is wants you to, but i'll let someone else explain the how bit because im lazy.

Thanks for the help everyone. So far this is an awesome game. Didn't even know that you can have your own drivers! And it's cool to give them names, I'm going for all Dutch names. I think I'll go figure stuff out on my own for now, might get back to you guys later. BTW: This is an awesome community, I'm just a newbie and everyone starts helping me already! Great!
