EDIT: Can't see the photo on the iPad I'm using at the moment - can anybody else see it?

Here's the story. I saw this big old saloon car while in London in Autumn of 2012. I took this (somewhat blurry as it was getting dark) photo, and have been trying on and off to work out what the car is ever since. Evidently, the car hasn't moved for several months or possibly years, as can be seen in the condition of the bodywork. The poor quality of the shot means it's difficult to read the number plate, but I have it narrowed down to either ASL 654 or ASL 554. According to MyCarCheck (for those who don't know, an app which is supposed to be used for doing checks on used cars but I just use to identify cars I don't recognise), 654 belongs to a black convertible Ford of an unknown model registered in 1999, and 554 didn't bring up any results. I was hoping some of the automotive gurus here could give me a hand.

Thanks very much, been looking for an answer for so long. Though at first it was some kind of Soviet-era barge from Eastern Europe. Now the next question is what was a rusted 1960's American saloon/sedan/whatever doing lingering in a car park in an area of London which was full of Astons and Maseratis (and a Nissan Pao)?

I knew I had seen that front end before, Chrysler popped right into my head....I remember it from reading my grandfather's early 60's Popular Mechanics magazines and their car tests. That and researching hyperpak slant 6's

Wow, glad there's people around here who are much more experienced in the American car department than me.

SV1 Chrysler/Plymouth Valiant from the looks of things (1962 refresh), judging by the radiator grille.

Doesn't really matter which make it is, as the Chrysler version was pretty much an Australian built version of the Plymouth.

Dunno whether the Plymouth versions were exported to the UK, but some of the Chryslers were.

If we could only see inside past the windscreen, we could see wether it was RHD or LHD and determine what make it was. It would be more logical that it would be the Chrysler, since we also drive on the left here so it would make more sense to have a right hand drive car; but it's also entirely possible that this is a Plymouth. The Wikipedia article for the Plymouth states that the Valiant was marketed "... In other countries in South America and Western Europe", but on the Chrysler article says that "smaller numbers were exported to New Zealand and the United Kingdom". So once again, either would make sense.

I need some help, too. Saw this on the street. What is this? It's definetly not Russian.
