help im a newbie

ok im a newb...i dont know what to use to get past series races where i have to race against race cars (amateur gt world championship series for example). please help out a newb =)

You have two choices:

• Get a race car.
• Build a street car into a race car by doing weight reduction, adding race suspension, and adding horsepower - and racing tires.

Starting with a race car is usually your best bet, since they offer other niceties, and aeerodynamics for downforce and increased cornering.

What are you trying to beat, and what's in your garage?

generally the race cars have downforce and if you dont have down force then you need to comphensate with skil and/or horse power.

i have alot of money...500k...the highest powered car i have is a 869hp skyline R32vspec2...i can zip ahead but for some reason i cant seem to keep the lead, the comp just keeps gainin on me even when i do pretty good turns. (the car is fully upgraded). Im tryin to beat cars like that one corvette race car, the Team Oreca viper, etc. I'm trying to beat the Gran TUrismo World Championship and Gran Turismo All Stars series in the amateur league...

Have you moded the suspension etc... and are you using slick (racing) tires?

Well, have you got any JGTC cars? If you get one of them, add T4 or T3 tyres, stage one turbo and tune it. Then you should have a nice race in it. Don't try adding a Stage 4 tubo on it, although it will increase your times unless your really used to driving it, you'll be all over the palce and spin.

Gotta agree with DMX... use the skyline to do the Super Speedway Enduro race. If you win the F1 car use it to win the other races your having trouble with. If you don't win the F1 car, sell the new car and do up/buy a better car.

Actually, don't sell the new car when you win the Super Speedway enduro. The other three cars are fine race cars in some ways.

The C5R is very fast, and the Falcon is as well - for races where tire wear is turned off, or short 3-to-5 lap races. After that, the front tires wear out too quickly for the cars to be much use in longer races.

The Clio racecar is a great machine and handles beautifully, and can take reasonable power upgrades.

Use the Panoz. You win the Panoz in the Arcade Time trails. Get first in all the TT's and the panoz will be in your garage. BTW, Im never gonna do the TT's.
