What should I do, I spent 3 hours on photoshop, saving my work for my English static image project which is due tomorrow, then it crashes and for some reason didn't actually save my work and now I'm back where I 🤬 started, there's only a little while I have left so I can't waste time, what should I do??????

Hmm, since I can tell I am much, much younger than you I will say this. Work all night tonight, and if its not done by the morning, try and convince your parents that you need to stay home to finish it. Tell the whole truth, if that works, spend the entire day working on the project. If not, then use the fre time in your other classes before the one the project is due to work on it. If its still not finished, then tell your teacher the entire truth, show him what you did, and see if he gives you another day.

Hope the best for you, I've been stuck in situations like yours before.

Thanks, I think I have a reliever that's collecting it in tomorrow so my actual teacher won't be there. I think I will just:

Start over. Quick.

I think the second time around will be quicker, because the first time half of it was finding info and images to place. Thanks for the help guys

Aren't you just wasting your time typing more here? I would also keep backups if I were in your situation, every piece of school work I do will have a backup in another directory or on another drive. So far I've only had this situation once, but I've always had a backup that had most of the progress I've done saved. And yes, you'll be done much more quickly now that you know what you've already done.

Yes, I am. The second time doing it took a lot less time than the first, I finished and it turns out for English we had a really old lady who has bad memory (and bad hearing) who didn't collect in the image, so I booted my computer and worked hard for nothing. At least it's done now :)

This might be a bit late but I seem to remember theres a temp file for photoshop somewhere which saves pieces of unfinished files in some odd format, if you open it with photoshop it will try to repair or rebuild which means you might be able to recover something.

I can't be sure but I think I tried something like this before when my photoshop crashed, luckly if its something important usually I'm saving it to 3 different locations!

I've heard stories like this and it makes me save my work :D I think I've had a few times Microsoft word closed on me and I was like O.O, oh wait, I saved :D

It's worse when your saving your Photoshop work on the school computers and then the bell rings and you get stuck in lag.....

So, why is photoshop being used for an English assessment?

Drawing pictures for art, I can get. Writing essays for English, I can get. But why do you need to draw pictures for English?

Teachers in New Zealand like to waste our time with stupid assignments like this and then wonder why we are all failing and then they go on strike and waste even more time.

But why do you need to draw pictures for English?

Because that's the way education is taught now, with picture books and picture based assignments

If photoshop crashes again, use something else like GIMP.

But i would look for photoshop auto save files and where they save to.
