well that was an effort in futility.

woke up earlier then expected just to make sure so it was afk for about 6hrs and i drove 4hrs before going to bed. Was 10hrs in when i started in the morning and drove for 6hrs straight before going to get lunch.

Come back home to find the power had gone out :(

yay for old wiring that can't handle dryer, washing machine and dishwasher on at the same time :(

wont be trying this again any time soon lol.

Aw man it's like how can that NOT happen when you are doing a 24hr race?!

jeez...
if 1 lap in the X2010 takes 3:15:xxx, convert it to seconds:

3 x 60 + 15 = 195 seconds

if 1 lap for Car2 takes 4:37:xxx, convert it to seconds:

4 x 60 + 37 = 277 seconds

You're obviously using a pc or phone to post here. There's an app called Calculator in the accessories folder in the start menu ;-)

What you want is 'Laps per Hour'

Using the numbers above (complete guesswork btw)

X2010 Lph = 3600 / 195 = 18.46.

Car2 Lph = 3600 / 277 = 13.00

Thus the X2010 does 5.46 laps per hour more than Car2.

Multiply by the original X2010 lap time (195 seconds)

5.46 x 195 = 1064.7 seconds

Divide by 60 = 17.74 minutes = 17:44:xxx. (multiply 0.74 by 60 to get the seconds)

So with the numbers above you can be AFK for slightly less than 18 minutes per hour (you're going to be able to draft a bit because you're not first).

Now you understand it, here's the formula

You can be AFK for 60 - ((60 x Your lap time in seconds) /( His lap time in seconds )) minutes
f.eks 60 - ((60 x 195)/277) = 17.76 minutes

:odd:

Jepp...it's called mathematics, the language of the laws of the universe. I know a few other people who cringe when they see this, but it's ok, we forgive you ;-).

Jesus wept, and to think I used 17 hours to create that formula....and you can't even keep your PS3 juiced!

(Let's see what that brings out ;-)) But seriously....Glad nothing more serious happened like a house fire. Got to watch those cables mate!

Yeah getting the electrician to come out and do the house properly.

We brought this house and it was fairly old and still has wiring from the 80s or 90s, before they had plasmas and computers in every room so it just can't handle the load of everything.

Also when i think about it we do have alot of stuff:

1x server running 24-7 with 18tb of HDDs powered with 2x 1000w PSUs
4x standard PCs running 24-7 (2x media servers, 2 general use pcs)
3x 50" plasmas
4x 24" or bigger monitors for pcs (1x triple monitor setup)
3x PS3s spread throughout the house
Multiple Surround sound systems with amps etc
dishwasher
4 fridges, 2 freezers
2 x washing machines 2 x dryers
heat lamps and fluros for lizard tank

+ whatever else i can't think of lol.

Damn it looks like a lot when i write it down :S

guess its time to re-wire.

So really if you think about it you are the sole reason for global warming :P

Holy! How many people live there??

Holy! How many people live there??

Its a big house and we Rent out the entire downstairs to another couple to help with mortgage repayments so its really not that much stuff lol.

that list was a combined list of the entire house so think of it as the contents of 2 couples combined (4 adults total)

upstairs and downstairs both have there own kitchens and bathrooms/laundrys.

I setup the server and media pcs when i brought the house and it was included in the rental deal for the other couple. (eeked out another $15 p/w to have it compared to not having it)
