Help with B-spec American Championship (level 23)

In the American Championship (Level 23) i've had a few things happen to my Bob that just made me LOL, the first time i tried this race he's in the Cadillac Cien in the lead on the final lap and slams the breaks on to let 6 other cars pass him in the final 3rd of the last lap...so i LOL'd.

2nd attempt at the same race on lap 15 a Ford GT LM spec2 cuts across a bend from the inside to the outside and smashes head on into my Bob's rear quarter sending him spinning into the barrier and across onto the grass...so i LOL'd even louder!

3rd attempt, this time he's in my GT40 69, i think my bob crapped himself whenever he was behind the leader so he just sat on the leaders tail for 19 laps. both my Bob and the leader (another LM spec2) are about 1/3rd of a lap in front with just over a lap to go, he finished 7th by now i'm face palming.

i'm on my 12 attempt at the Indianapolis race, he Golded Laguna Seca on his first attempt but just doesnt want to finish higher than 5th on Indianapolis.

i've tried 5 different cars on the and the highest he has placed is 5th in the Ford GT40 69.

he leads the race for about 10/12 laps and then lets the others back in and when that happens he wont overtake for love nor money.

i have tried numerous car set-ups but Bob refuses to go faster than 154MPH on the bends while the other cars are flying past him...

any ideas?

Did you modify any of the cars for more power?
Were you giving commands//watching all of the races? Higher level races you need to actually give commands to overtake and speed up to win usually.

I used a maxed out Ford GT Spec II Test car and it cleaned up the competition by 1-2 minutes on most races.

Edit: Also doing the "pace up" command keeps him from letting other cars pass when I use it.

yep, all of the above, i dont have a spec2 to do it with but every car i have used so far is quicker than the pack but Bob just wont go faster than 154 MPH on the bends which is why the others catch up to him so quick.

Forgot to add, setting the downforce to maximum kept him from touching the brakes and made him a lot faster on corners.

You have the transmission set high enough right?

Yep, Tranny is set to 230MPH, down-force was set to maximum and braking was set to 0 to force Bob to stay off the breaks, none of that helped in any of the cars

I used the nascar for the oval on american ch"shp...worked fine and first time GOLD...now 2nd race with this nascar of MOntoya but fail...7th...

Are you using Race Hard tyres ? If so i don't know why your Bob is a slob on this event ! Maybe do some more events again and raise your Bob's class then try again. Try the Viper GTS-R Team Oreca upgraded i give no commands in this car it just storms home !

i thought about using that car but the acceleration is so bad on it i didnt think it would stand a chance.

i'll give that a try.

Yep Race Hards are on. where do i get the Viper GTS-R from,? (please dont tell me its in USD!) i have a standard Viper with full mods and bob cant place higher than 7th in it

I remember this one. It was a bit of a pain because the Chapperal's were so competitive. I used a racing modified Corvette Z06, I had to wait till my bob was a level 23 for the leguna one.

I couldn't get him to beat it in fully modded and tuned Cien but he destroyed it in a fully modded and RM'd Corvette ZR1.

I used a bone stock Ford GT LM you win from the Dream Car race. On Indy I just told him to pace up the entire time and managed a win by a few tenths.

That was all I had to do with this event, my Bob had no problem luckily, just a little push into first then he was fine

I had the same problem, but it turned out, I needed racing tires -HARD- and I had Medium. Since he wasn't allowed to use those he was using sports tires.

*sigh* f**ckin A Bob, ****ckin A

Took your route Biffco, bought myself a ZR1, he BARELY won, overtook the GT LM Spec2 in the last 1/4 mile and won by a nose hair lol

i don't think Bob wanted to work today lol

My level 23 bob is really having trouble with this..

He's posting 55 sec lap times at Indy in the RMed ZR1 as he's slowing through the corners to around 130mph.

Silly question, but should I have waited until after the RM to buy tuning parts? I don't care if I wasted money, but I don't want to have handcuffed the car.

I used the tuned Cadillac CIEN Concept '02 (S) which I won in B-spec Expert MR Sports Cup. Tune it to max and it will blow everyone.

Prior using this car I bought Viper SRT10 tuned it to max, configured it well and ... it failed big time. so use Cadillac CIEN Concept '02 (S).

it makes no difference which way round you do it money wise. It is better however to RM your car and then install parts, as RM'ing uninstalls all your tuned items to defaults. You simply need to go to settings and re-apply them.
