A great way to impress your fellow GT3 friends..

OK..This may sound a bit tricky, but actually it's not..

First make sure that you have have the buttons configured for speed / brake.. you can't pull this thing off, if you use the analog stick.. :(

Then go pick a rear wheel drive car, with some power..preferably a race car.

Set "Active stability manager" (ACS) to 0.
Set Tcs controller to 0.

Press accelerate and brake at the same time....let go of the brake - quickly press it again..It may take some tries to get it right, but you will know when it's done correctly :) also when you press the brake after releasing it, try easing off the pressure, it might help.. (make sure that it is NOT the emergency brake or hand brake, or whatever you call it, that you are using..)

If you still cant get it to work, go set the brake balance contoller to: rear=0 and front to 9 or more..

Have fun....I did :D

Here you can find a video of a Mercedes CLK race car doing the burnout, just make sure that you have fast connection, it's about 45 MB! (video number 6)

You don't have to subscribe to FilePlanet to download from them (that's just their new "personal server" thing). Scroll down a bit and you'll see the "public download", which is free.

hmmm I have accelerate "X" and brake "O" is that correct?

I cant get it to work

X

- your buttons are fine, it doesnt really matter which buttons you use, - hell you can even use the "shoulder" buttons (R1...), but it doesn't work with stick speed/brake...because you have to press both acc+brake, at the same time..

I'm sure you'll get it to work, just get a car with POWER!! :D - that's the easiest way, so don't start out with the witz..ok? and try turning off the rear wheel brakes, with the brake balnce..

keep trying;) - and i hope you've seen the video..

Very cool little trick.. I'll have to admit, I had fun getting away from the "racing" bit and trying this out :)

Here's a lil vid of my Lotus Esprit Sport 350 having a go at it..
I think it maybe has a bit too much power though (as you'll see)

Video size is 8.8MB, recorded in widescreen.. 30 seconds long
Codec is DiVX4... if anyone needs that, go here

I can only keep this video online for a short period (maybe a few days to a week or so) due to the fact that it's taking up 88% of the space I have on that one account :(

i did it with the vertigo it only worked 4 3 sec then froze my game

i went back and did it agin without gameshark and in didnt freeze so i just think its a gameshark glitch

is it possible to do it with a subaru rally car? cause I dont have my saved game right now and all i got is the arcade! It sux!!

well, it's quite difficult pulling it off in a 4WD car, but I think you will be able to pull it of, if you play around with the settings...

I used my Toyota GT1 race car and it was awesome, i got up to like 52mph and lets just say my tires went to red pretty quickly, i did it during qualifing at test course for sum race.

Yeah, I remember doing burnouts in GT1 and 2 - hours of fun, especially when half-tanked yourself.

Castrol JTCC Supra is ideal.

Ahhh - round and round it goes...

:rotfl:

ahhh...

I'm glad some1 posted how to do this, gonna have to try it when I get near my game next!
i've got nearly all the vids from the Gran Turismo Speed website http://www.planetps2.com/gts
They are all great, specially the burnout vid!!

Anyway me thinks my cars will be begging for mercy by the time i'm finished:D

remember anyone who hasn't done a burnout before, the buttons on the dual shock 2 are pressure sensitive so all you have to do is hold down the accelerator all the way down and apply mild pressure to the brake.

go and practice....
