I am a racing game developer based out of central Florida. You can see some of the games I worked on within my web site at www.jamesarndt3d.com I have a labor of love and hope that I am working on right now called Super Kart Racing.

Here is a link to the official web site with lots of keen info on the project:
http://www.superkartracing.com/

There is already a fully playable web demo on the site, so test it out and see how the current build is working (it's a very early prototype). You can find a QA and feedback page where I'm inputting feedback on the online web playable demo (using Unity tech). Check it out and let me know what you think!

We're also doing a campaign on Indiegogo that is starting to gain some momentum!

Now for a few screenshots (very early prototype):

Planned device support:

Android OS 2.0 or later
Device powered by an ARMv7 (Cortex family) CPU
GPU support for OpenGLES 2.0 is recommended

iOS 4.3 or later
ARMv7 (Cortex family) CPU
iPhone 3GS and later

I've also developed a partnership with the awesome folks at PowerA. They are sending me a Moga Bluetooth Pro Game Controller for development of Super Kart Racing. They will help market Super Kart Racing and I'll enhance the game to be able to utilize this controller.

They are associated with some pretty good titles. IGN gave them a pretty amazing review.

Will definitely help an app with discoverability!

Thanks for the warm welcome guys. I dunno if my being flagged as a developer is a good or bad thing in here lol!?

Welcome to :gtpflag:! Is it you on the front page of your site? I really think you should put your magic in GT5 files. :P

Welcome to GTP! Great place to sign up, many many avid racing game fans here who I am sure could give you constant and great feedback and full support while you develop your game. That way it can be even more appealing to the public.

@Slashfan - Wow you totally get it. I wanted to kind of garner interest in this so once I get a new game build up or put up new track layouts, kart models I can get feedback from fans of racing in general and make this game much more polished. It's going to need to feel like a realistic and competitive racing experience. I'm not even making this game for app store success, or sales...I'm making it to make something I can be proud of and something legit racing folks have only good things to say about. Right now it's in a very early prototype state, so much for me to do to reign this in.

@Everyone Else - Wow I love the flying flags. What a welcome!

Moga controllers came in the mail today. They set me up with the Pro controller and two of the regular controllers. What awesome people! Looking forward to developing with these and working with them on marketing!

They feel awesome, very much like holding a Nintendo DS or PS Vita.

Welcome to :gtpflag: It's very cool to have a game developer among us, I hope we'll be seeing you on the news feed eventually.

Definitely know how it works. As a former dev myself, I can really help you with this if you want. I've been needing a new project to tinker around with in my spare time. Be it giving you ideas. I've always wanted to make a very in-depth racing game of sorts, something even big publishers don't dare to go. I pretty much know what it's like promoting a game you've made so don't hesitate to ask me for anything.

Out of pure curiosity you said you were a former dev. Did you move into better job markets? The game industry is in all kinds of turmoil right now when it comes to job stability.

It wasn't official by any means, it was more of a hobby on a free forum.

These are the first revision of menu screen mockups I've finished. More than likely they will undergo some changes to design or aesthetic, but for the most part they are solid. Looking forward to cutting these up and plugging them into NGUI atlases soon.

First, welcome to :gtpflag:, secondly, I find your game very interesting, especially for Android. I will probably download it, if/when it's on the Google Play Store, (and if there's a free version ).

Well here is the newest announcement! The Kickstarter campaign has kicked off

Super Kart Racing Official Kickstarter

I'm running the Kickstarter to tie up the funding for the development of Super Kart Racing. If you want to put stuff in the game, put stuff on a kart or be a character in the game environments, those are all rewards.

Finally have this track taken from 2d concept to full 3d environment. Proud to finally show off the first outdoor track for SKR (Glen Meadows). This is still a WIP, but very near to completion. Next up - to be placed into Unity and lighting baked in. As you can see from the face count, this environment came in very optimized, which is perfect for running on mobile hardware!

I've been pretty busy on this one. Here is a finished 2d track concept based on the real world location Rock Island, IL. This is basically the drawing I will use to model the track and place major landmarks.

This is what it looks like in real life to drive around this location.
