Lots of races were changed to rolling starts.

I can't find one race with a standing start in A-Spec anymore. I already hated the rolling starts in GT5P and the brought it back. *sigh*

1.06

You can't disable ABS in the Nascar driving school anymore, which makes the last race on Daytona impossible to win (at least for me).

after this update My drive changed.. it was Green helmet and gloves and black body.. now - Green helmet and Gloves and blue body! 100% sure just saw that in replay in seasonal events! PS I changed my design in GT5 LIFE menu to Blue, maybe now when you change background it changes suit color.. dont know maybe a glich! but im sure about the colour change I saw it 100%!

I'm glad I'm not the only one... I was black with lime green helmet and now I'm blue with lime green helmet.. Boo!

my driver suit was black with green helmet and gloves and now its blue with green helmet and gloves. ugly and im rather pissed about it. why cant we change our suits out anyway or customize the colors? do you think jeff gordon has worn his very first racing suit his whole carrer. i dont think so.

I'm really not happy about the rolling starts. Bloody HATED that in GT5:P.

Polphony, you're really starting to piss me off. And thousands of other gamers.
I see a (genuine) petition starting up soon...

My previous post from other 1.07 topic thread (w/ pics):

I noticed there may have been some updates to levels of damage modeling on some premium cars? I believe so far I had only see this level of damage possible on the rally cars, but this McLaren is now equally destructible.

from 1.06 that I have noticed

- on rain races, the AI starts on rain tires instead of slicks and having to pit on lap 2

That's been broken since before 1.06, probably since game shipped. I noticed it on GT 500 A-spec Extreme event at Suzuka a while back.

I notice that the picture quality in photo travel have increase a lot. Refections, shadows, lighting, and even colors are brighter and more vivid in my opinion.

I agree, I think we should be able to change our overalls. Would be cool if this does actually changed based of the background you pick like Tvensky suggested!

Same here, although when I when I go to my profile via profile picture, it still shows the black suit and green helmet. However as you mentioned, my background color is also a blue color.

The only thing I have noticed is the AI driving like they stole it. Lol. When I demo a vehicle from my garage or dealership this crazy mofo's run into walls now. Lol. Other than that... Nothing.

Wow you guys have some serious attention to detail.

It would be very entertaining to see an actual dev from PD come and respond to these types of threads. To just see them quote people and say "yeah.... we didn't change anything like that, you are seeing things.." would make my night.

And to be directly on topic, my drivers suit has changed as well, but my background is still white as I set it. Funniest thing is the suit is different every time I load up the game, and it comes up with some really odd combos at times XD.

I noticed this as well, very obvious when buying/installing tuning parts

But that wasn't hidden. It said something about making that faster in the details of update 1.06

Oh yeah I noticed that after update 1.06 there are some cars in the UDC that I don't think were available there before, like the Tank Car, I think it was under 4 mill.

Does anyone feel like the tires are different? I found the SS used to let go in hard corners and the car would spin out, now the SS will let go yet if I get off the gas they'll grab again before the car completely spins. It feels more like driving my car on performance tires

I'm obviously exaggerating to describe it, yet has anyone else noticed the tires grip differently after losing grip?

Tank Car was definitely available in the UCD since launch, I remember seeing it the day I bought the game (launch day).

Yeah, I also thought there was perhaps a small change to tire handling physics since 1.06... seems like limit of adhesion has changed, cornering at high speed is stable, but if you increase acceleration or touch the brakes, there is a much more sudden change in handling characteristics.

I notice that rain tire seems to be better under raining condition now 👍

More sorting options under the garage. A couple were added for 1.06 then a bunch more for 1.07 including mileage, PP, etc

Not sure if anyone posted this but you can use the parking brake to actually park your car and keep it from moving. Just come to a complete stop and press the e-brake :)

That definitely was available since launch... very neat feature.

Can anyone confirm if the 20 million dollar cap is still there? It probably is.

The BOBs' must have had some union intervention included in either patch 1.06 / 1.07, as they seem to run much more cautiously in the rain. :scared: Suzuka 1000km (Wet race from start) 8+ hours, WTF

You can now change tires from the car tuning menu, not from the race setting menu like before.

Mine has been like that since I bought the game.

I'd bet my left nut that there are some subtle changes to the tire physics since 1.06. I only raced offline since then so I can only comment about offline driving physics so far.

I first noticed it with a totally upgraded and fast 2010 Impreza sedan STI that I have put tons of miles on before this. It was on SH tires on the Green Hell (heaven). High speed handling was different, and so was the force-feedback on my G25. It just felt more nervous at speed and I would say a little less overal grip, but to me it felt more "realistic" whatever that means to you. I also felt going off on the grass just a little had more of an effect on the car's stability at speed and also the car seemed to react a little bit differently to hitting large curbs. No in-depth studies done, just my initial impressions.

I drive an 09' Impreza sedan in real life, but it's no monster STI so I couldn't compare it to the stock '10 Impreza sedan in game. Now I could reduce engine power in GT5 and soften and slightly raise suspension and reduce weight by about 400 or so lbs and use comfort mediums to 'make' my 175hp 2.5i though, or make it really close. hmmm.. :-) Sounds fun.

To me tire physics feel slightly more refined overal compared to 1.05 and before, as does force-feedback overall. It isn't a huge dramatic difference, but as I said, I'd bet my left one that there were tweaks made.

I only race with no driving aids whatsoever including ABS, I always run that on "0". People using controllers, or different wheels and or any driving aids might have totally different feelings about it.
