anyone notice how to unlock the stealth cars you just put in a code, and the download is only 100kb? which means all stealths are on everyones disk...which means surely there are more premiums on there that will be unlocked by DLC later...

I know there are ppl out there that can dive into a disk and get car/track lists, I was wondering if anyone has done that yet?
 
Actually all the stealth cars are just variations on cars already in the game. That 100kb download is probably just a set of livery instructions to the game to unlock the car with a different paint job than stock. Later DLC cars will likely be new models and will require more of a download to pull the graphics and physics data.
 
yeah but, I'm really hoping the Stealth cars will be available for purchase later on, say a $1 each or something.

I have my SLS Stealth but really would like the rest of them... especially the GTR and McLaren F1.
 
I wonder about the cars, "tuned by GT" in GT5... Seems like there are missing some cars? Could not find the Z06 tuned in the dealer shop??

I really, REALLY hope they don't! I didn't pay £130 so everyone could have the same content as me, the Stealth's should be exclusive to the Signature Edition :D

By all means, DLC for the masses and I can't wait to hoover up anything PD throws at us, but I'll keep the online prestige that comes with spending that kind of money, thanks.

How did you even get your Stealth SLS? :S
 
Even if you do take apart the disk, you can never be sure of what will be DLC. Remember Prologue had Ducatti!

Most were replaced by the RM versions, it seems. Cars like the Cappuccino and Evos were "tuned" in GT5P but they're racing modification options in GT5.

pre-order gift.

not sure where you are but here in US the Stealth cars were available as pre-order gifts from various retailers.

Amazon had the SLS, Best Buy had the GTR, Game Stop had the McLaren, ect.

I hope there is a way to unlock them, i didnt enjoy being screwed over by amazon with the 2 bonus codes they were meant to supply. The game is lacking enough as it is, its a bit of an insult that there are cars available to only a small ammount of people who got lucky with their pre-orders.
 
I thought my SLS code from Amazon downloaded a file from the Interwebs...


Regardless, once Sony / PD gets the bugs fixed and the missing content patched in, I can't see how they could possibly pass up the opportunity to print money by selling new premium cars as downloads in the Playstation Store.

I got an mclaran f1 stealth and mazda stealth from amazon uk.

By going through the code of GT5P Ducati was one of the makers listed in code along with several other things. Can't post the source but if needed use the search function.
 
To all the people whining about the possibility of stealth cars being DLC - people here in the States don't have a chance to get them (the sig edition ones), so it would be nice to have an opportunity.

This logic does not work... just because there may be SOME on disc DLC does not insure in anyway that there will be future on disc DLC or what it will be.

I honestly don't think PD would have on disc premiums locked away... they wanted that premium number as high as possible for release.
 
By the way, what's so special about the Stealth Cars? Is there anything to them aside from the livery?

You do know that if your mate who has the stealth cars activates his account on your ps3 you can get them from his download list thanks to Sony's policy of allowing DLC to be shared on up to 5 consoles.

Well engine rebuilds are only 500cr and retoring body rigidity is also only 500cr thats why they are special ;)
 
My stealth SLS has a bit more power plus some mods already installed, not sure about the GTR.
 
Of course they are on your disc too..

Else you couldn't see it when you play on line vs people with that car? :)

They tune slightly higher.

Though, the biggest feature is aero. The SLS AMG and the Mclaren, the regular ones in game you cannot get adjustable front downforce, but with the stealth cars you can. That in itself can be a big deal.

yes you can download them to a friend's console via your user name but you cant transfer them to his (or her) user name on the same console by giving as a gift or by using the games save file, if there is another way please share :)

It may have been left over coding from that video PD made that featured a car and a motorbike. Hopefully it's still in GT5, like a demo mode for a Tourist Trophy 2:idea:
 
I would easily pay a few bucks for the other Stealth cars I didn't get with the CE. At least I hear good things about the 787B. The AMG which I have is definitely fun and people shouldn't have to miss out on it.
 
There are no other premium cars on the disc. The Stealth Edition cars are just liveries and some tuning, but the same 3d-models as in GT5 already existing.

Do you think, PD would emberass themself to put 800 standard cars in the game, but also ready modeled, but locked premium cars for DLC?

If this would be found out, their image and reputation would be destroyed.

Asian regions First Print Limited Edition which is around USD60-70 also have Stealth dlc.
