So you're rolling in the dough and think you have the skill eh? Well you've come to the right place to start the new year off with a bang.

What are we driving?- Go to sim mode and purchase any car you want. RGT, Vertigo, Escudo,pink vitz, whatever.There is no deadline for picking the car or signing up but please say if you have intent to take part in the race. All mods are allowed including breaking the car in. NO prize cars are allowed.

Where we running this thing?- The High Rollers Showdown will be a hotlap of Rome Reverse. Only obtain times in arcade mode,free run.

So can I wallride?- NO. There will be absolutely no wall touches or you're run will be DQed. 100% clean is required. Rumble strips and sidewalks are considered part of the track.

What about replays?-Replays MUST be saved. For the top 3 times there will be required verification via Xport/Sharkport or mailing a memory card. I reserve the right to ask for any replay, or DQ any time. Submit your time to me through PMs, and if you better your time before the deadline you may resubmit.

Are there drivetrain classes?- Nope. You can drive a civic or PTcruiser if you like, but you have no chance of winning. I suggest something like a C5R,Oreca Viper,Vertigo,Escudo,Toms Supra,Mugen NSX, complete with T8's and the hp add ons.

When are times due?- The deadline is Sunday the 11th of Jan. at Midnight EST, 9pm PST.

There's no deadline for signing up but try to post sooner rather than later. If you're a maybe I'll put you down as tentative.

A few other things...
I won't be racing, but I have ran some cars and there shouldn't be a runaway favorite. I hope you all enjoy it, if there is a good crowd this time around I may hold a followup for road cars only.

:lol: yeah, you might wanna get a mod to remove that time or get gt3mich to edit it out. (not that its really all too important since this is replay town ;) )

Time should come through at some point, so count on it... Catch you guys later.
 
-One note, since PAL can not buy the Oreca Viper and NTSC can, I'm allowing PAL drivers to run a prize car Oreca if they wish.
 
Please buy the car you run. I know its easier to use the prize car but the whole theme is buying it, and it shouldn't be too hard to run it in.Get some practice while the hp rises or put something on the gas and run circles around the test track.
ODP-are you interested in running this?
 
Well... It looks like I've got some unexpected free time on my hands, and it appears that you've got noone to sweep up and shut down the lights, so I'm in.

*checks bank account without wife seeing*

At least this way we know who's gonna anchor out last place. ;)

T1 at 17.5 T2 in the 47.1's Sacked the RGT am giving the "Roman Rocket" a fang
Still trying to sort out some handling probs
But this thing is quick, no wonder I love driving it, might try taking out a race car later on

Count me in too. I'm thinking about a castrol mugen NSX,C5R, or Pennzoil. I don't know. Will have T times and short vid by Mon. Who is going to host the vid. Can sough host. If not I'll have to find a host for I don't know how to download my own FTP program.
 
Update: After some tweaking, and generally better driving, have come up with a 16.8 T1, have run as fast as a 16.5 and T2 at 46.1
 
I got a 1:45.891 T2. But that's not representative of my T1 and total lap time. That big sweeping right just after T2 is giving me trouble, always has.

I still haven't settled on a car but I have it narrowed down to two.
 
On lap 16 I got a xxxxxx. Totally clean. I'll keep trying to get better lap times. I hope to get a 1:09. What are yalls times so far?
 
Are those split times or lap times? I don't care to venture a guess.
Going for a two second reduction? I wish I could. I mean...I try, but...no dice. :lol:
 
in the 43's at T2 so far with a race car

Just a quick Q. Sough: Can we run 2 cars in this thing or only the 1?
 
I found a much better car for this track. Over a second quicker too. and it has les HP. 950 hp and rising. Max is 970. Castrol Supra. I'm going to try both cars. The NSX and the supra.Heres the supra's T-times

T1: 17.245
T2: 46.047

(Also I only did 4 laps in this car) Hope to lower T2 by a full second. Then I may be somewhat good in this competition.

OK Am I in the same class as bollocks? Hes 2 seconds faster. I feel so slow. :(

EDIT Sough you do know I'm signed up..or do we PM you. I'll read it again.
 
-Only one car will be counted per driver, but if you submit for more than one car I'll list the slower one as a ghost time.

Yup...

The Castrol Supra will be the winner of the race unless a really fast driver uses another car to the fullest while the closest supra driver turns in a less than perfect lap.

Even with the 970hp compared to the Castrol NSX @ *1033, the castrol supra seems to hold an advantage thanks to its amazing torque and handling... the torque on a maxed supra is better than the torque on a maxed oreca. (how :confused: )

I am also pretty sure that if you go to the record-boards on any number of sites, you will notice that (excluding the big MR racers, gtone, gt1, 787) the denso supra puts in the fastest times... with a trailing castrol supra often in second.

I figured the results would have a castrol supra winning from day one, but for some reason I just don't want to run it... I am hoping that I can put in a good time with an alternative choice. However, I see a castrol supra on the podium at the end of this race whatever the results may be.

Btw, nice splits fellas.
