Teachers in secondary school (high school) don't seem to be very cooperative in terms of deciding who will give homework during time x and who will give homework during time y. No teacher that I've ever come across has ever said that they'll be cancelling homework that day because there is a more important test that we have to study for.

They don't seem to realize that we've got homework from other classes as well.

Wait till you get to college. It's not uncommon to have a huge paper due the same day as a major test and a lab. I used to have to write 20+ page papers frequently when I was at the university and they were always due around the time of major test in some other class too.

And then wait till you get into the real world, depending on your job you'll probably have more tasks than you can handle in a day.

I disagree. In our English class, a simple "But we have an AP (Enter class here) (Enter high value assignment here) to turn in that day! " Will get us another day or so.

I've always wondered what it would be like in the real world. Back in elementary school, where a teacher would teach all the subjects, they can monitor just how much homework each person was getting every day. Now though, teachers think that their classes are the most important.

This will vary by teacher.

That's actually really good teacher think their classes are the most important since that's how it is in life, especially in the work place. Everyone higher than you seems to think their project is the most important and what you to do it ASAP. Learn to prioritize, it makes your life easier.

I reminisce about my high-school days sometimes, and I wish I did it differently...I suffered with severe acne through year 9 and continuing to year 10, to which point I dropped out. People made fun of me, called all sorts of names and such, so I started wagging alot.

After year 10, I started medication for my acne, and have never looked back since. I'm in college now, enjoying life and all it's wonders.

Everyone hates their high-school experiences, but that's just life. People change, and so do circumstances.

**** that.

Out of school won't be so bad for me but HS is killer so props to anyone willing to go through that.

If high school is that bad for you, secondary education and/or an actual full-time, real job will probably actually kill you to death.

I don't plan on college, but I'd rather have a job since I'm getting paid to do it. Hell I'll shovel cow **** for $7.50 an hour.

I don't know if my school allows students to park on campus. The parking lot is so small.

Probably a bit late here on the whole parking discussion, but at my high school you have to ask permission from the principal just to be allowed to drive to school. Of course most people don't because they have no way to enforce it, but the fact that they've even made a rule like that is beyond rediculous.

Oh, the at the high school I go to, you have to ask for a parking pass if you drive there. Good thing I can walk. But some rules and laws can be pretty "You can't be serious" or similar phrase.

They have stupid pointless rules at my school. You cannot take your jumper off until it is officially 'summer uniform', although when it's unseasonably warm they care even less (no one enforces it most the time) and there are tiny little fractions of the field you cannot go on for no reason whatsoever.

Paying for parking is rather crazy, regardless of how little or much you pay. Anyways, the grade 10s in our province have OSSLT today. All the kids in other grades at my school (except for those who didn't pass it last year) have longer morning classes, and shorter afternoon ones. Perfect time to do my 3 page report.

Aww man, what the older kids said when i was in elementary school was right. Nows about the time when colleges are accepting and rejecting and i am freaking out xD.

Shouldve worked harder in school >,..,>

We have that jumper rule as well and I got told off today because my jumper was in the wash and wasn't dry by the time I had to go to school. I find the rule pointless and stupid and when I pass out in the middle of a lesson, maybe the rule will be changed.

Fake passing out. It's worth a try.

I might actually try that tomorrow. I have English which is the hottest room in the school so I could.

My physics room is boiling. On the first floor, in the centre of a building, 2 doors, no windows, 20 computers, lights, a projector and 30-ish pupils...

I can imagine it getting pretty warm in there. My English room is on the ground floor with a floor to ceiling window that stretches from one side of the room to the other. And there are no opening windows in there

So happy that tomorrow is last day before spring break. I'm about ready to snap.

I'm really mad my geometry teacher. We're a solid week and a half behind other classes yet Wednesday, today, and what is planned for Friday, involves no math whatsoever.

I just got a math test on quadratics back.
66% YES!
(3/4 of the class failed or got so low of a mark that they had to come in and redo it. Only 5-6 people actually passed.)
I got 92% on the previous test so that kind of makes up for it.

In my Modern World History/Social Studies class, my class is on World War I and the other teacher's class is on the Cold War.
I hate teachers that teach to the lower half of the class. The no student left behind strategy really annoys me sometimes.

My spring break starts Monday too! Then two weeks of relaxation. :D

We're also on the Cold War in History.

I've still got 3 days. Not including today at least because class ends in about 20 minutes.

Next week I have Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, then a two week holiday. It's so close now, I can smell it... But then my nose starts making some sickness reminders and I get annoyed again. At least it's almost the weekend.

This term has been hard work at times, music solo performance (only to get sick on the week I have to perform), graphics in which I have to force myself to be inspired Art Nouveau (even though I actually like some of the Art Nouveau things), English where we've had to do film reviews, etc. All this and none of it has gotten me any credits yet I'm quite sure.
