My German teacher thought it would be a good idea to give us an assignment that requires a text book, which we only have a class set of so we can't take the home. So does anyone who takes German use the Deutsch Aktuell 1 book? The answers come from a little reading passage which I don't have.

Haha. Even if the sign said the proper thing kids would still use it.

I see chewing tobacco all over the sinks at my school.

Also. One of my friends rushed into the bathroom duing class room tole me to 'Shhhh' I watched him dig through the bathrooms trashcan for a pack of Marlboros.

So today: worked at the Franklin invitational tournament, a tournament for boys/girls lacrosse, baseball, and softball with schools from across the state. It was a beautiful day and I had to chase foul balls and rake the field, but I ain't even mad. But then, I went home. I packed up 3 boxes of books I've never read and never will read, my box of trophies and snow globes, my floor fan and other miscellaneous things. Then I planted grass seed all throughout the yard. I though I was done then...but no, I got my wood glue, clamps and tooth picks and fixed my door, which had split and the screw-hole was stripped. So I had to take out the doorknob and lock assembly, then jammed glue into where it had split, then clamp it, then, I had to put wood glue into the screw hole and jam it with toothpicks. Longs. Damn. Day. And tomorrow or the rest of the week will be no better. I'm on break so it's cleaning all break. We took old TV's and PC monitors to the recycling center, along with a mattress, and threw away 9 bags of miscellaneous trash. This coming week will be unforgiving. Help anyone?

Yes, I do.

Two weeks off now where I'm responsible for my own revision... oh dear. I sense a lack of C's this year if I'm put in charge of my own learning.

Same as me. My mum is making me revise. I've just finished my physics for the day.

What I'm going to focus on is the mountain of English exam questions I have and my history. Science and maths I'm fairly strong on so I won't do as much.

I've not got any history at the moment. I managed to get the coursework done before Christmas. I've constantly got English essays, so I don't really count them with my exams. I'm year 10, so I only have Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Maths Methods 1 and 2. 5 exams. not too bad.

*looks pointedly* I be major jelly bro... I have everything to prep for being year 11, thirteen exams to be exact!

I just realized that if I can slip a half-year of an extra social studies course somewhere, then I can have 5 electives my senior year

I have a ton of exams, in loads of subjects that I'm not confident about. I think I'll have 13.

Welcome to high school, where in NY you get 4 tests on the same day frequently, and then lots of state mandated standardized tests within the span of 4 years. I mean like 16. Or you no graduate.

I have never read a more true post on this forum.

Helll same here man. We have this thing called HSA's they are state tests in Maryland and you have to pass all 3(if you started HS in 2010) which consist of Algebra, English, Biology. Now if your a 9th grader this year then you have to take all 4 which consists of algebra, english, biology, government.

They took out the Government one the year after I took it. :irked: I didn't like that test, and I hear they're taking out Biology as well. But then returning the two a few years from now.

I took the algebra HSA in 7the grade when I took algebra 1. I take the biology one this year and the english one is for English 10, which is next year.
