So my English homework tonight is to create my own version of Hell complete with punishments. Needless to say this is one of the most interesting assignments I've had in a while.
We're about to read Dante's Inferno, btw.
This sounds like fun.

Today was my first day back after break. We had a two hour delay so the school had to switch the daily schedule up so we could still get our schedules in block 1 so we had to miss block 4 due to lunch taking two hours. Needless to say my government teacher is rather interesting, he straight-up claimed he was an :censored:hole and actually slipped a few expletives in class. I think I'll like him!

School tomorrow is already cancelled due to the extreme cold.

Sorry, forgot to add in the part about the weather. (The extreme cold hitting the US.)

Oh, well in that case I'm delayed two hours Thursday. (I hate that we're going back on a Thursday)

I have to go home today at 5:00 pm for my last 3 weeks of freedom before school i go back to school, so my true holidays are officially over :(

Wow, I did an exact same project for my English class sophomore year. Though instead she placed the class into groups and we had to illustrate it for a presentation. And the funny thing is, the teacher never graded it... Actually, she did graded it. But it didn't affect anyone's grades.

Well…

Our district just went into full lock down after a guy made some sort of gun threat at an elementary school…

…So this was an exciting day.

Nearby school districts have issued 2 or 3 hour delays due to the cold weather. High in my town is 30 degrees and the low is around 11 with windchills.

I bet some of you are laughing at us.

If you lived in the northern half of the country, you'd never get a delay just for barely being below freezing alone. The roads would have be very icy to warrant that delay.

This morning was 10 degrees with a -2 windchill. What does my school district do? Nothing. We had a full schedule today. They've been bitched at (to keep it nice) in emails, calls and face to face encounters so many freaking times before by parents about how ridiculous it is that they don't have delays or cancellations when the weather gets this low or even lower, yet the district hasn't changed.

Apparently, the Votech bus I ride is obsessed with penises because we had five or six windows with that very thing drawn on them today. Even after the bus driver was yelling at the offenders for a good five minutes to get rid of the inappropriate body parts, they weren't doing a thing and thus the body parts were never wiped away. So now we'll likely all get yelled at in the coming days. I don't know what this new fascination with penises all of a sudden is, but it feels like I'm back in my pre-K days.

What kind of pre-school were you going to?
I actually never did go to preschool, but being around the people who drew the body parts make me feel like I'm surrounded by little kids.

It probably wasn't the best comparison in the world to use, but its the only one I could think of.

That's because it's the norm up there. It isn't down here.

Oh no! A snowflake has hit my windshield! We're not equipped to deal with a snowflake! EVERYBODY PANIC!

Georgia in a nutshell... we haven't gotten a single snowflake and our low temp for the past week was 30 degrees F.

In Chicago our high is NEGATIVE 10 :nervous:

My friend in Wisconsin has to deal with -40 degree weather every year... I could barely stand walking outside in 30 degrees...

None of the people in me school can't stand anything below 20 Celsius (68 for you guys).

Though when it is 15/59 I start wearing a Jumper (even though I don't like them). 10/50 is my give up limit.
