Just another way to make our lives harder as students. I'm tired of these 🤬 stereotypes. I'm tired of being 🤬 around with like have no importance because apparently we're in gangs loitering around the streets with no life. Just... JUST MAKE IT 🤬 STOP!!^Good luck mate.
Admin "It's bright red. You could be signifying yourself as a gang"
"Yeah, I'm a blood. Because this is freaking Oakland. Oh wait...
And a gang, really? I'm an accomplished AP student. I didnt get there off drug money..."
Admin:"...."
"Fine. I'll take it off"
More on our school's "Not hats ever, I dont care if its snowing" rule coming in December.
Never really understood the whole not wearing hats thing, makes no sense to me.
There's no inner-city in my area, really should only apply in certain areas. The geniuses in the Inner-City schools are to blame. When they found that you rep your set with hats, they decided that a blanket edict would suffice.
Well don't do what I did, don't be all quiet and shy, no one seems to like that. Just be you I guess. I don't know, I've never been the popular one, I have a few friends and hang out in various circles (The smart people, the sports people, the normal people, the stoners, the I LOVE SCHOOL people..). Point is, not everyone is in the same group.Okay, since 8th grade will be a massive bore judging by what happened today, any of you have some tips for my freshman year?
As I tell my students when they wear their hats in class, you're not going to get acute fluorescent poisoning, so there is no need to wear your hats indoors. Our principle takes our hats off our heads.
That's nothing to be proud of.Proceded to snatch my hat back and walk away.
SlashfanOur principle takes our hats off our heads. My convo word for word last year.
"Did you pay for that?"
"No, but you aren't allowed to wear it."
"Then who the hell gave you the right to take it from me? You don't own it, I do."
"But you can't wear it! Please don't talk to me like that."
"Ok, so how would you like it if I walked into you're room and took your computer?"
"You'd be stealing."
"And you're implying you aren't?"
"No, because it's the rules."
Our school has a strict no computer without authorisation which I knew she didn't have since she does whatever she wants anyway.
"Yeah, but it's also against the rules to use unauthorized computers."
"Who said it's unauthorized?"
"Theres no sticker with it's #. Look lady I'm not stupid".
"I can suspend you for having that attitude."
"Go for it, I don't give a ****!"
"....."
Proceded to snatch my hat back and walk away.
ghs, get in a rolling garbage can (empty), have some one push you down the hallway while sprinting lol. Then let go XD

No, I've had students who need to be reminded three or four times to remove their hats in class. And they frequently put their hats back on during the lesson because they've realised that they're not wearing the hat, and so automatically move to put it on.In my instance, I was not indoors. When I step into class, I always take my hat off.
who have no idea who the LA Lakers actually are.
ilikewaffles11You should've taken it. I DEFINITELY would take it was available.
Also, you are a genius Hawkeye.![]()
Got my results today. After a long summer spent stressing over them it turned out I got 9 A/A*s, including an A in Maths and English Lit/Language, out of 16 total GCSE's and a Bacculaureate which is poitnless but still, chuffed with those results.![]()
Those are excellent results, well done sir 👍 I'm afraid As is quite a bit harder than GCSE though, look forward to a steep curve.
Cheers, really bracing myself for Physics and Maths at A level. Only managed a B in physics at GCSE too. (In my defence I was 13 when I sat the exams !)
Hopefully History won't be too bad , I got full marks on two exams and had a quick look through the as level exam and it doesn't really look that bad. Maths on the other hand ...![]()
