Didn't they give you the option to show up late the day of the test you don't have to take? That's what they did for us.

No but that's what I'm gonna do. Apparently each test will take up two hours out of two days. I'm just gonna go in at 11:30.

You guys suck with these class options...being from a school with about 90 enrollment gets boring.

So, how is metro/suburban high school like? How do the people act? Also, what is the racial diversity at your school? For us, about 97% are caucasian, about 3% are African American (actually, there is only two in it lol)

Since my school is in the middle of corn country, you usually hear several students going to school every day in their Rams with a smokestack lol. Our school is big on athletics, so you will usually hear sports talk.

I was just reading older posts and that is almost exactly like my school except ther is 500+ people and only 4 of them are black. Being in the most racist state of all a friend of mine said "that they are like specks of dirt in white rice". No i am not racist.

Went back today first time ever on my birthday. Had pretty boring new classes. Got one of my classes changed. Band to athletic p.e . Yes, i am an athletic nerd.

My day back sucked. Got my schedule, and found out only 2 of my friends are in at least one of my classes. It makes me mad because last semester i had like 20 friends in at least one of my classes.

About 3 years ago me and 2 of my 3 closest friends at the time had similar schedules at the end of the day, but in the ornming were totally different. I changed mine to one of their schedules and the other followed so we were all in the same classics. I'd suggest talking to your guidance counseler or whoever does them about it. You might have to make a few sacrifces to make it fit but usually its worth the effort.

I do not know why they made us go back on thursday and not monday. It would have saved a lot of trouble. Getting ready for school right now. yay. *weak sounding*

School starts on Monday, I'm not looking forward to it but it's not going to be that bad.

So...Today i tried to get my schedule changed back to Auto tech, but my parents said no! -_- So today, i was trapped with a bunch of hipsters in Geography and English class today blah blah blah. Until i came home to see i was on Today's GTP weekly rewind! Thanks T12! :)

Omg you poor poor thing. :nervous: *puts blanket round shoulders* Everything will be okay dude.
I'm not overreacting or anything.

I'm enjoying high school as I can. I'm a freshman and a lot of friends already. Especially those smoking hot juniors and seniors. Sigh

How big are your highschools? Mine has 2 floors, 2 gyms, 2 pools, 2 garages, 2 art rooms, about 21 hall ways, 2 theaters... Not sure how many rooms.

Mine is a grouping of large square buildings literally in the middle of the desert. Not necessarily in the middle of nowhere; it's near the highway where it can be seen from there, and there's a new housing development being built near it, but most of the surrounding area is just dirt. And all that dirt emptiness around the school is a big tease, because our parking lot is vastly undersized for the amount of students we have, and they could easily use some of that parking pass revenue to somehow get permission to let the students park in the empty dirt areas around the school. Kids already cut through it to get to school, and cars use it to overtake on the one lane road that goes to the parking lot. We have about 2600 kids, so that gives you an idea of how hectic it can be sometimes. There's on big gym, a smaller gym next to it, and a weight room in between them, and several locker rooms. One indoor lunch area with some tables outside, but really not many places to eat. I have no idea how many hallways we have, but there's quite a few of them. The hallways are desperately crowded during passing periods, but luckily my classes are usually in different buildings from each other so I can go through the outdoor area instead. The passing periods are six minutes long, which is enough for me to get from class to class, but if you're walking from one corner of the campus to another it can be a pain. Still, better than middle school where you had three minutes to pass, and my PE teacher was notoriously bad about letting kids out on time, and my eighth period teacher was an ass about tardiness even though she very well knew my circumstances. Teachers in high school seem to be more lenient on tardiness.

Good lord. I've got like 4 hallways, all on 1 floor. 1 Auditorium, library, gym, pool and the rest are classes.

My school has My school has about 14 hallways, 3 on each floor, 2 garages, 2 gyms, a common area the size of an Arena Football field, i don't know about pools, two art rooms, two band & choir rooms, and a JROTC room.

My school has 2 gyms, 2 floors, and way too many hallways to count.

Next week is going to be a crazy week for me at least for sports. We are versing one the the top schools in the country St. Anthony. I know we are going to lose but I will finally get to see them play in person. We just have stressful games for the rest of the week against some good teams in the state.

Wow. THE St. Anthony? That sounds awesome.

One of my friends dad saw Chicago Farragut play when they had Kevin Garnett. He just dominated.

My school has four 'blocks'. A Block, which has four floors, B Block, which has two, C Block, which has one, and D Block, which has two. Different floors are for different things. A1 (first floor in A Block) is for languages and science. A2 is languages, geography and ICT. A3 is science. A4 is history and art. B1 is English, B2 is maths (however there is one room on B2 that is English, simply because they ran out of room on B1 :p). C Block is split into two areas - home economics and RE/PSHCE (religion, life skills and the such). D Block is entirely music. We also have TS corridor, which is for woodwork and graphics. The drama rooms are next to the bottom gym (we have top gym and bottom gym, top gym has the actual gym, bottom gym is for gymnastics), we also have a dance studio down there too. Aaand we have the sports hall, which is basically a leisure centre and is open to the public after school hours.

So... your schools are pretty small compared to mine. :dopey:

Oh wow we playing them 2 weeks from now for basketball

My school is one floor. It has 4 hallways about 30+ rooms. 2 gyms(new one houses new bandroom). 2 workout rooms( one for men and one for women. A agriculture building and greenhouse. The best part of all THE LUNCHROOOOOOOM!!!!

Our lunchroom was one of our old gyms and the school was so small that all the guys in my class would sit at one table. I would get all the free chocolate milks I could.

Well, we have three lunches and you have at least 75+ people in there and you only have 20 minutes to eat and you are in line for 10,15 minutes so you have to eat like a stray dog to get finished.

We are in america though. I have really said enough for anybody that keeps up with local and national news.

One building. Two floors. One sportshall/gym. All the usual corridors and such.
It's a bunch of arse by the way.

Sat it German class, daydreaming...
Teacher: Lucas, so what does 'Wo wohnst du' mean?
Me: Uhh, Halt! Who goes there?
Teacher: No. Check the dictionary.

There a dictionaries on the table, made back when women had no rights.
All ripped and has phrases in, like 'Billy luvs 3mm4 2K12 yeeee' and such.

So I pick it up, and start flicking through it. A condom (Out of the wrapper.) falls out and on to my lap.

*Hysterical laughter*

Teacher: Well somebody's gunna be a lucky girl tonight!

I almost died.
I was so scared, I now carry a rape alarm to school.
