The food used to be good then it got bad. It hasn't gotten better either. I've had the pancakes in a bag, those actually aren't too bad if they make them right so they aren't hard.

Double snow day! Completely unexpected. We literally didn't have a snow day since the 2010-2011 school year until yesterday, and now 2! So happy.

2 Hour Delay FTW

How do those work? I've always wondered and never had one. Do you miss your first class or two and begin midway through your schedule? Or are all of the classes shortened?

Depends on the school, in our agenda we have a page or two of scheduling, I'll post a picture soon. Just for kicks.

At ours we take off two periods, make the first two shorter, and alternate those periods between 1st and 2nd period on one delay, and then 3rd and 4th the next.

We have 9 periods, what happens is we come in and skip the first 3, then start at 4th, if we have another one, then we go to 3rd, so on and so forth

9?! We only have 5!

So, my Maths teacher was ill again today, but apparently she's coming back tomorrow. I still don't want to find out my exam results.

The French speaking exam is really bothering me now. We were supposed to find out our times for them today, but my French teacher told us that she didn't even know if we had the time she'd booked for us. I really regret taking French. :grumpy:

We only have to spend 36 minutes in each class though :sly:

I have 7...I guess I'm the middleman, we get 45 minutes per class and 5 minutes for the hour and a half walk from one class to the other. And I can't even lie. People randomly stop in the middle of the hall and on the middle of the stairs and it must be 1/2 mile across the campus.

I have a similar situation. 7 periods a day, 30 minutes for lunch, 50 minute class periods, 6 minute passing periods. There's usually an annoying crowd at the base of the stairs that can sometimes be a pain to maneuver through, but people here are smart enough not to just stop suddenly. The real problem is the people walking against you, especially the tall ones. Last week a kid walked straight into the left half of me and knocked me off my path. Naughty words were said in my head for the remainder of my walk to Photography. :dopey:

Also, I have to type and memorize a two minute speech about a subject of our choice (I've chosen raising the speed limit to 75) by Thursday for English. Everybody I've asked so far is against it, but I imagine I can change minds if I mention the time saved by a higher speed limit that they could use for sleeping in.

My school runs from 7:50-2:15, and I am the tall one. I was just walking to gym, walking completely straight at a normal pace, when this kid, much smaller than me, was walking against me on the wrong side of the hall and me being me, didn't move stayed straight as an arrow. He probably though he'd win that fight. His chin just crunched against my shoulder and he got knocked back. I didn't budge.

I really regret taking French. :grumpy:

Me but with Spanish, required to do one language regardless (I do French) but for some idiotic reason I picked to do Spanish as a GCSE option. :ouch: It's alright though now I know I will fail both, it's just banter all lessons,

We go from 7:30 to 2:10. I can sort of understand why you wouldn't move, being on the right side of the hallway and all. I usually move though, unless you're caught in a stream of kids going left when you're going straight (because the school's bright idea is to have one gate open for hundreds of kids leaving school), you've gotta be a little ballsy there or kids blindly walk into you from all directions.

For me, because I'm pretty big, I don't need to move because when some one walks into me, they are the one that moves. In my school all 1600 kids and with me being a freshman, albeit a large one. I need to "not back down" and not get intimidated. My school isn't bad, but the few people that are bad, can make it really bad.

Even though I'm 'Built like a rugby player' (tall, broad shoulders) I'm quite feeble in nature so it's hard to scare away the trouble makers and such, although occasionally losing my temper and flooring someone probably helps.

my school goes from 8:10-2:15 and have 4 periods, 1hour 15 minute each, 8minutes between periods and 55 minutes for lunch.

We weren't actually required to take a language, but French was pretty fun in Year 9 and having a language GCSE looks good on your CV, so I went for it. But ever since Year 10 started it's been boring and just way too hard, because nearly everyone in the class is predicted an A or a B. There's one guy who is predicted a C, and that's because he only started learning French in either Year 8 or 9, I can't quite remember. He was learning Spanish, but he changed to French because he has a house in France or something.

I'm just that small kid that gets shoved around everywhere.

My school starts at 8:30am and finishes at 3:10pm. Each period lasts 55 minutes and we have 5 minutes between lessons. We have break at 11:05am until 11:20am and then lunch at 1:30pm until 2:05pm. In Year 7 lunch used to be from 12:25pm until 1:10pm, but for some odd reason they decided they'd make it an hour later.

We are required to take a language...the same language for two consecutive years. We have 3 lunch periods. The way the schedule works is beyond stupid.

our lunch is at 10:43am,which i find is early.

but since my school is full french we half to take french and english.

So today, my school goes and has a phone check. Thankfully, I left mine in my car. Everyone who got his/her phone taken up had to stay an hour of detention after school today in order to get it back. I think my school is more focused on making sure kids follow rules rather than actually trying to teach us something.

They don't care is we have phones on us, as long as were not using it. I was caught playing Fun Run in biology, luckily it was the day before break and we were watching a movie and got a warning. Teachers can give us the option to use our phone for definitions, calculator purposes and "educational" purposes. So we are allowed to use our phones. Gahh, I can get this rap battle video off my phone, my computer won't find it.
