Which car is best to use?

That car is perfect -- if you can get it. The only problems are that it's ~14MM credits in the UCD, it rarely appears, and it's on the no-trade list. A more economical answer is the '69 Camaro RM or the Toyota 7 Race Car which can be won from Like The Win in B-Spec.

The Chaparral 2J is the best choice, but for A-Spec the Toyota 7 is a common and capable choice. You can win it from doing Like the Wind in B-Spec.

However, for B-Spec many players absolutely must use the Chaparral 2J. While Bob will manage alright with the Toyota 7 for some players, for others he insists on wrecking it in Monaco's Nouvelle Chicane on almost every lap and refuses to stop until you drop him so cold that he can no longer keep up with the other guys. Don't be fooled by posts talking about how they won the B-Spec event in the Toyota 7, because they're neglecting the little part where I said that this isn't an issue effecting all players.

Yeah, I've been level 40 on B-Spec since about mid-January and I still haven't gone back to with the Monaco race. My Bob in a Toyota 7 only got 2nd and I didn't deem that event worthy of my time (or aspirin ). I only do B-Spec if I need credits. 👍

I used the Jag that I won from the Indy 500 Endurance Race.

Beat Deep Forest 100% Stock / Hard Tires / No Aids.

Monaco was a little more difficult, to say the least.

Here I added the Turbo, ran Soft Tires, and had TCS @ 3. Won by 12 seconds.

If you change the top speed to about 160-170, he should get first pretty easily. I had a 20+ second lead on both.

When psn is back up (if your like me) then borrowing a car is your best bet as the 'best' cars are all wickedly expensive and well I'm always broke.

I did those series the opposite way. My b-spec driver couldn't win in the 7, but won easily in the Jaguar.

The 2J is the easiest way, but you must earn it, or wait for someone to add you so you can share, or use the Toyota 7 race car which can be won from one of the B Spec races.
