Alfa Romeo Tipo 33 - In various guises, it was one of the most successful race cars ever.

McLaren M20 - INSANE and successful Can-Am machine. Good to go against the 2J.

Porsche 917 - Absolute Legend. And successful.

Indeed, possibly the prettiest car ever
And of course Tipo 33 too...

I'd pay good money to get proper simulations of those (DLC) 👍

Everything takes time. It took time for Porsche to get prepaired for their winning streaks.
Ford was fueled by rage, which is a boost I must say.
I was playing football (soccer for USA people), I was a goalkeeper. Before big matches my teammates used to piss me off so I was playing in rage mode. And I excelled.
Then I broke both of my hands on a game and I was forced to give up footy...
Just an example of how anger is somewhat good in competing.
Driving in rage is never ever a good idea - it leads to accidents, on the road and on the track. The Ford drivers were not driving around in a red mist. The Ford management were undoubtedly seriously miffed at being dismissed by Il Commendatore though. Then again Enzo was also rightly pissed off with Ford  Ahhh, car and racing history in the making - to be a fly on the wall there...

And for the trinity (in this particular era), in alphabetical order:

Ferrari 330 P4 (a tie with the Alfa Romeo Tipo 33, but in all fairness I have to name only one of them to let the next two cars get on the list...)
Ford GT40 Mk IV (or should we say: Lola/Aston/Shelby GT40 Mk IV)
Porsche 917

Jag XJ13 NOTE It is historical because it was never raced.

Good list, I'd love 917K. But we can only dream to see it in GT5.

And at the post above - the Ford GT40 you know is Mark I and Mark II. What's the point in putting two GT40s in a trinity? :dunce:
