Ahaha. Sorry for me being a n00bsauce, but I feel awesome for being a "senior member". :) Ehehe.
How did you guys feel when you experienced this or any higher level?

Didn't normally notice.

Now start making your quality go up as a "Senior" member.

Or else you will be noob sauce forever, srsly.

Though Senior and 200 posts... seems slightly amusing, considering the real Senior members have been here years with some thousands of posts.

I never really cared about the levels except the 100 post mark and the 500 post mark for obvious reasons.

EDIT: You're right Azuremen, maybe there should be a different title for that level because being called a senior because you have 200 posts is a little misleading.

Maybe the levels should be readjusted since the community of GTP isn't that small anymore and it shouldn't take anyone more than a month to reach 100 or even 200 posts.

I know, I sometimes act foolish/childish.

No, because it's just a place where I talk to people about cars. Post count is wholly irrelevant.

Member duration is another story, though: 6 years, sucka! :D

Thank you for providing proof that a user title does not always correspond to the maturity of the user.

Oh come on, ease up on the guy. At least he got rid of his font style that annoyed nearly everyone. He's taking steps to improve.

I wonder what 7200 posts and 5yrs of membership equal if 200 posts and 6mhts = senior.

There are worms in your skull or you've been cremated already.. It's all relative, though.

:p

He's improving. It's a good sign.

It means you need a life :sly:

Yes, that is true. At least I can read the posts now without my eyes going all squiffy.

 Here's to your post quality continuing to improve and matching your newly aquired seniority 👍

Edit: Ironically, that post tipped me over into Bronze Member.

Congrats! Ahaha. :)

To others: I thought I was just another regular member, wich I am, but I think I now know people remember me because of the font style I used and the fact it annoyed people. Heh.

Wait, wait? This is the guy that had the horrible center aligned, super small posts?

I never read those posts! Except when I got the neg rep because he felt no one cared.

Go figure.

True that! It's not as if your the only member to reach 200 posts....

Totally....but I can't help it!!!! 2000+ post within 8 months sucka!!!! (or 266 Days to be precise :sly: Got my 2000 post like 2 days ago :D)

Quality > Quantity. Though my quality has slipped from truly massive and meaningful to a bit more willing to post one liners for entertainment.

Post count, honestly, is not very important. Recognition among the community is. Many of the members that people think of when they think "Senior" GTP members have a history of notable and quality posts. Further more, these members have held moderate activity for a long period, and generally can recall the many stories of GTP because they witnessed them first hand.

I honestly don't think I will make much fuss when I hit 4000 posts, maybe a little at 5k... but the real breaking point will be 10,000 posts. But I am in no race to get there. I just post when I feel like it now, and that is that.

I recommend you just post when you feel you have something to offer, rather than post because you simply think you can post in that thread. You'll enjoy the forum more, and will not struggle with your post count. That is what I have found in my years of posting. Long ago, I was one of those people that averaged over 100 posts a day on a forum; upon relaxing in my posting, I found myself enjoying the forum more there. Here, I came in with some experience.

So, relax about your post count.

EDIT:
Trueno
I said no one cared about my posts?
No, you thought people didn't care about the formating much, and didn't see why you might want to change it. That is what you not caring referred to. The fact is, most everyone thought your posting style was absurd and virtually no one read it because of how much trouble it was to follow it.

Same here. I used to keep a constant eye on my posts and when I got close to a mile marker I would go and post whore to try and get there as fast as possible. Sooner or later you'll see that its all superficial 'my e-penis is bigger than yours' type of deal.

EDIT: I've also recently crossed the 3000 mark.

Ohh.
I don't really think the format was hard to read. :\
I changed it for the good of the community.
Wow, that was tacky. And suck-up.

I'll check where I sit on the member boards... like, what page I am on. Just curious to see who else has post counts around mine.

But none of that post rushing... and I don't go like "OMG WUT HE CATCHING UP TO MY COUNTS!! NOESS!!!!111"

I liked doing that too when I hadn't been here that long. I thought it was pretty cool that I was catching up to some of the older more respected members here. I haven't done that in forever though. I think I might see where I stand now.

Page 9 for the record.

Yeah yeah, I agree with you Azuremen. I did post a lot back then. But now, i'll try to cut down my posts for sure :p Probably have better things to do than hang around GTP. But its amazing how you older GTP members still do actively post around here. I mean, surely some of them have come and gone, but still (and most importantly) the GTP community is growing. 👍

But that just leads into another question, would GTP still have them "senior members" around when GT5 comes out. I think by then, almost half of the active members should be gone, and newer members contributing here.... Thats just how a life cycle would be. :)

That maybe theoretically makes sense but I don't think that will happen too much around here. I mean we've almost gotten GT5 and only one 'Senior' left, and that was because of things other than a game.

That guy left in part because of me, actually

Musa, some of us are fairly active because of our work and such. Right now, I am active because I am very little to do since I am in Georgia following my father's death to take care of stuff here and help my step mother. I don't have alot to do here since I know no one and such. However, a couple of my jobs have been on computers all day, and thus I am online quite a bit.

In fact, several of the well known members here post only from work...

So you post in a month and a half what I post in an entire year.

At the risk of sounding cliché: the next time you post, decide whether you've actually got something to say or if you've just got to say something.

LOL, I did say something. I was agreeing with Azuremen and Loon's comment on TsukubaTrueno:

Yeah, maybe I just took it too far....sorry!!! :indiff: :guilty:

Wait until you reach Diamond Member - you unlock the P90.
