I liked doing that too when I hadn't been here that long. I thought it was pretty cool that I was catching up to some of the older more respected members here. I haven't done that in forever though. I think I might see where I stand now.
Page 9 for the record.
I like to keep track of my post count thingy....
<<< al la profile
Dont know if that many means im an 'old' member
Robin
I wonder what 7200 posts and 5yrs of membership equal if 200 posts and 6mhts = senior.
Me and you are about on the same track, I've only been here for about a year and a half and I'm not that far ahead you in posts. That was always cool. It seems that there are a lot of members who joined within a few months of me that are in my neighborhood of post count. But seeing some of the other members that are around me, maybe my post quality could use a little bump.
Looks like I'm only a page behind you, Loon.
About the only thing I don't agree with is the grammar bits. I, for one, am not very good at using commas and semicolons etc etc. As a matter of fact that previous sentence probably isn't done correctly. As long as I get the gist of what you're trying to say I don't really mind mistakes like that. What makes a good member isn't number of posts, it's the quality. Things like saying "I have 200 post!!!1 I'm now a Senior!!!11!1" is just going to start a rant-fest. Mabey my idea on how the quality of posts can be calculated will help:
Great- Everything you type is pure 100% perfect. Easy to understand, great grammar and spelling. Is always something that either is helpful or entertaining. Doesn't break rules.
Good- Is usually helpful, easy to understand, spelling and grammar are good. Keeps within the rules.
Neutral- Has decent spelling and grammar. follows the rules most of the time. Occasionally messes up but doesn't get in much trouble for it. Describes me.
Poor- Almost never makes any good quality posts. Gets ranted pretty often. Has many referrals and/or infractions. Has problems with language. t1P3s Lik3 tIS!!1!1
Banned- Self explanatory.
Why is this here?
This thread or what we're discussing?
This thread. As far as I can tell, he's talking about something every active member eventually goes through, and from what other people are saying, it sounds like they're not surprised he's making a near-pointless thread.
Am I missing something?

Yeah. Me, you, Turbo Lag, Bram, UnoMoto and to a lesser extent OZZY, Exigeracer and Diablo are in similar places. Class of '06 maybe?

At the risk of sounding cliché: the next time you post, decide whether you've actually got something to say or if you've just got to say something.
The point of this thread is...?Ahaha. Sorry for me being a n00bsauce, but I feel awesome for being a "senior member".Ehehe.

(while we're all "on" the topic of post rates, 3700 posts in 3 years 9 months. Eat that.)
13,900 in 3 years, 6 months....Yeah, not something many of us should be proud of.
There's always one big thing to be considered when talking about inexcusable mistakes in writing English. True, they are quite inexcusable for native English speakers but the criteria shouldn't be exactly the same for them and those who speak, say, German or French as their native language. Of course it's possible to be good at English despite being a foreigner but it shouldn't be taken for granted. The structure differences alone are enough to cause serious trouble in certain cases.Spelling mistakes are pretty much inexcusable in this day and age. Unless you are using IE6, in which case I need to ask what the hell is wrong with you?
Grammar is a hit and miss thing. I don't mind comma usage like you just did Loon, but some people have no idea what a comma means it seems.
I'll join that one too.Fine then, you can be in there with Azuremen. Class of '03 starting.

Sooner or later you'll see that its all superficial 'my e-penis is bigger than yours' type of deal.
