Why is my DC2 so fricken slow? I have a stage 3 turbo and just about every other HP gaining mod and have just about every Drive train mod, and it still runs a 14+ second 400m!! What is wrong? Is this car just slow? Too much power? Should I have gone N/A? Please help. I don't want to put this car to waste, I need a nice FF car to compete in the FF classes.

Thanks,

ME

I'd stay with N/A, you probably have too much wheelspin in the 400m.

once you get going who cares about wheel spin. just set the tcs to 2 or 3 and don't worry about it.

just make it handle like no ones business and you won't lose.

edit: meant tcs

do not worry about the time in the 1/4 mile. The recorded time is very innacurate. Look at your trap speed (the speed you are going when you go through the finish.)

as a baseline:
93 mph is about average for a 15.0
96 mph is about average for a 14.5
100 mph is about average for a 14.0
105 mph is about average for a 13.5
112 mph is about average for a 13.0

etc.

this is just a ball park, and every car differs slightly, but as you go through the finish line, you can guestimate what the car would have done on a more realistic drag strip.

I have to agree with ya, I did the same with my ITR and it only feels fast in 3rd gear. Otherwise I felt it was a waste of money equipping a turbo.

personally i think the Integra should be kept to a minimal mod wise, unless it is to improve the handling. the stock integra up to 300hp can be extremely nippy, ive caught a few supercars out with one. im really into them at the minute and ive just purchased the Spoon integra, its proven to be the best ive had. i recommend it greatly

i had a type R. i think the trick to ff cars is the gear ratio. you dont want it to burn out off the start so try setting first and second as wide as you can. with nos i got mine to run... i think 11.8xxsec. it went faster than a stock viper in the 1/4mile. also try to finish the race in second gear. its not really a good setup for cuircuts though.

oh man thatd be impossible! just be gentle with the throttle on the start and once you get into third plant it.

Better start learning to use the right analog stick for throttle control if you've got the power maxed out.

You can't have everything. A good 1/4 mile set-up on the Integra will be horrible on track... as you need to get at least 70% of your weight over the front axle to get a good time, and you need to stretch the gears pretty long to avoid wheelspin. Shifting car balance through lowering the front all the way and raising the rear 20-30 mm (varies per car) gives you maybe .2-.5 seconds on the quarter-mile. Also, raise the downforce in front, and have no df at the back. This will make the car a dog on the track, but give you a good hook-up on the 1320...

for a good integra setup, check my sig for a link to the s-spec tuned cars, i have a (DC5) setup that make the car great to drive around track, and its running low 1,07... round tsukuba. good car, for track piss poor for the 400m run squeeling tyers all the way. unless you use alot of TCS .

i have to agree spoon intergra's are fast and nice looking i dunno if the carbon fiber lip and hood helps but i fell that the car is much lighter :)

most of all the spoon integra has an extremely nice engine note, bass at the low rpm and raspy at the high rpm. id agree with jspoon in that turbo integra's do seem to suck quite a bit and that NA integra's (imo) handle better. what do you guys think? stick to NA or go turbo?

I've been thinking about getting an Integra for a while but never have (yet!), but in general go NA! So, you don't get to brag about massive power quite so much, but you don't get lag so it's worth it! And Stage One NA is better value than any Turbo Kit for sure.

I'll tell you one thing turbos are good for though - real life only, mind -
You're sat a red light at the start of a long stretch of city street, and this (turbocharged) Ferrari pulls up next to you. You catch the driver's eye and he grins, and as soon as the lights go green you both floor it. You're neck-and-neck for three or four seconds and you suddenly feel really proud of you old, cheap Vauxhall. Then- He's Gone! Whoosh, the turbo blasts him away to headbutt the horizon... That's the cool thing with having a turbo, you get boost. :D.
