Enough GT3 talk.

FP1 of the Hungarian GP is done and dusted. No incidents for the McLarens, and no really visible change of pace compared to the rest of the field. Probably mostly data gathering laps, considering some new aero components at the back of the car.

Button and Alonso both faster than a Force India, two Saubers, one Lotus...

This has also been the case in previous FP sessions. Also Lotus spent most of FP1 in the pits waiting for the tires to get warm.

Just realised that DAMS' Nyck de Vries is running the black McLaren livery in Formila Renault 3.5:

Dean Stoneman in the second DAMS is running a Red Bull livery, though.

Just realised that DAMS' Nyck de Vries is running the black McLaren livery in Formila Renault 3.5:

Dean Stoneman in the second DAMS is running a Red Bull livery, though.

Stoffel vandoorne has the same on his gp2 car.

It's probably because de Vries is in mclarens driver program while stoneman is part of the red bull Academy.

Fantastic day for McLaren today. Both drivers in the points, and no technical issues with either cars. Could it be that things are finally starting to come together?

The track suited the car quite well, so a better performance was somewhat expected.
Honda will bring a new upgrade for the next race though and Mclaren will surely add some of their own stuff as well.
We'll see how it goes then.

It's the brackets. Periods in names might also not tag properly. I know that was a Xenforo thing for a while but that might be fixed by now.
