Well if its as fast, or faster than a Corvette, why is it underpowered at all? The number 290hp may not sound like much compared with other cars, but that is clearly irrelevant in the case of the NSX.
So I guess anyone could say "...imagine what (insert car name) would do with (36% more power)".
Sure, EVERY car would be faster with more horsepower. But it doesnt mean they weren't fast to begin with.
I don't mean to totally shut you down. I completely understand where you are coming from. I am just ensuring that everyone sees the situation from every angle. For $90,000, 290hp doesn't seem like all the horsepower you can afford. The NSX does have a lot more potential and 400hp would be a welcome addition.
It is just that too many "American Iron" idiots' argument is: NSX's are slow, they only have 290hp and my Trans Am has 325hp, therefore it is faster.
I agree with you. I think Honda should put in a 430hp V8 and completely shut down the competition when they start doing 0-60 runs under 4 seconds. Which doesn't seem very unlikely in the NSX.
Whatever, I am completely rambling, and this was not meant to be an argument. I just wanted to defend the Uncanny NSX from any shadow of doubt.
