Hoonigan Car Pack

Does is seem odd that the Holden Ute is only going to be in FM7?

Anyway, according to my notes, there are 8 remaining "leaked" cars unaccounted for:
1971 Jensen Interceptor
1970 Porsche 917LH
1993 Toyota #1 T100 Baja Truck
1937 Bugatti Type 57S
1965 Toyota Sports 800
1970 Citroen 2CV
1988 Peugeot 405 T16
2013 MG MG3

Enough for one more car pack, and a barn find or Forzathon prize. Or, of course, there could be a car pack featuring cars not on this list, and then more could be barn finds or prizes.

And of course there's no guarantee that we'll get them all.

I think, in light of recent events, you can kiss those Toyotas goodbye.

For whatever reason, the achievements were not added with the update. Comfirmation on fm.net forums, but no reason known yet.

UPDATE: They are live now, and one just popped for me because I had already fulfilled the requirements earlier.

I must say, I'm quite pleased with the new cars. Plus the new Forza 7 trailer looks pretty darn awesome (is it new?).

Nope, same one shown at E3. 👍

Got the pack. But now I'm like... I don't really find a purpose for the cars... :/

The Chevys are okay, I guess?

Yeah that's my problem with them as well. The cars are okay to goof around with but they aren't that useful to race in.

I tried them all 7 quickly outside the autoshow and I liked the Mazda the most. I'm not good at drifting and the Ford Focus RS RX has been my go to car for drifting events to get 3 stars. I think this Mazda might be useful for that as well (I still need some 3 stars on the main land) as it seems to be quite easy to drift in.

In FM7 I don't think they will be that useful either unless the handling is changed a lot. Similar like the F&F car pack for FM6 at launch, I don't think I ever used those cars there.

But hey, for styling and showing off these cars (and the Hoonigan brand) for sure fit very well into a FH3 game, just as much as the Fast & Furious cars from those 2 DLC packs in FH2. But in FM7... not my thing.

The Nova's pretty fun to drive, the Blazer is pretty good offroad (duh!) and I did not expect it to be that big, the RX7 is obviously best suited for drifting and will make quick work of the drift zones (I bested my score on the 3 zones I tried, and I'm usually not terrible at it) but yeah, the other 4... ehh. The 911 is an okay all-rounder I guess and the Escort is fun if not terribly useful, but the '55 is laughably terrible to drive (at least it looks cool) and the Hoonicorn is just insane.

The Nova's Forzavista is funny because they've perfectly replicated just how much of a piece of crap it actually is... There's a tow rope hanging from the trunk (which doesn't even close), the front bumper is bent, the chrome isn't all shiny and there's a vise-grip serving as a window handle on the driver's side door.

I might skip these hooligans after all. I was thinking along the lines of what I'm reading.
Kind of a bummer to be one of the packs for FM7.

Agree with Fred, the Blazer seems to be quite good from the little bit I tried it. It also feels a bit more drifty and not so planted as your usual extreme offroad vehicle, so I think you can throw it around corners a bit better which is nice.

PI ratings for the new cars? At work and can't check myself.

I recognize that this is a bit late (more than 12 hours after you posted this), and you've probably found them out by now, but I figure publishing the PI ratings for the Hoonigan cars would be a useful move. They are, as follows:

RX-7 Twerkstallion: S1 825
RWB 911 Turbo: S1 855
Loki K5 Blazer: A 747
Escort Mk2: S1 807
Napalm Nova: A 721
Hoonicorn Mustang: S2 962
Tri 5 By Fire Bel Air: C 592

Normally, I'd buy a new car pack the day it releases, but I've been too fixated on completing FM2 before FM7 gets here. I'll check it out this weekend or something.

I do like how there are achievements revolved around using these cars. I would like to see more of this with car packs in the future, perhaps even events, so that way everyone can get some use out of them. Especially those who have already finished the game and want something else to do.

So if I buy physical copy of Forza 7 Ultimate Edition I have to buy both packs? :( They should have been made into one and if you buy it for one game you get it for another. They are the same cars other than just one model changing between the packs. :/

So...is this out now or do I have to wait until October to get it? I haven't pre-ordered Forza 7 but quite like the look of this and the way they're releasing it is a bit confusing. I only have the regular digital edition of FH3.

The car pack is out now, but Forza 7 is still two months (or one if you pre-ordered) away. If you digitally pre-ordered Forza 7, then the car pack will be free for both Horizon and Motorsport.

Ah, I see now, I thought they were delaying the entire pack for Horizon 3 owners unless they pre-ordered Forza 7 or had the Ultimate edition! Thanks for the info, I'll be downloading it later :D

I take back what I said about the Escort, it's an absolute blast to drive. And it sounds pretty good, too.

Bel Air. Can't turn, can't stop. But that's hardly what gassers are about, is it?

Mustang. 2017 hypercar in a 1965 suit.

Nova. A high quality show car pretending to be a backyard build.

Escort. Fun like a small RWD car with a lot of hp and grip should be.

Blazer. Raptor-like abilities off-road, but hate the nose. What was wrong with the original K5 Blazer front end?

Porsche. This is more RWB than Hoonigan, right?

RX-7. A Japanese sports car from the 1980s/1990s that's been turned into a drifter. That's fresh and original.[/snark] (To be fair, it is a very good drifter.)
