Horizon Blueprints is a feature that will no doubt add a lot of replay value to an already massive game, so it would be nice to have a thread where people can share and discuss event ideas.

For now, I've decided to start simple and created a couple of events found in Gran Turismo.

Conditions: Restricted to Nissan Skyline and GT-R models.

This feature will truly shine once one discovers all race routes in the game, so it will be interesting to see what people come up with.

Do I understand correctly that when you go into a race that you can choose to go with the default settings the game provides you with or adjust the race so that you can do it with the class and cars of your choice?

If so it would mean that you can go through the whole career with simply one car?

The AI will match your car's performance index automatically, but other than that, that's right.

Apart from the Bucket List Challenges and the Showcase events (a car is provided for those events), but you can race all the other events with the same car (well, after the game stops baby-sitting you, at least).

I created "Poster Car Battle"

Basically a series featuring all the Cars that have been the Poster Car for a Forza Game.

2013 Audi R8 Coupe V10 Plus 5.2 FSI Quattro (Representing Forza Motorsport 3)
2009 Ferrari 458 Italia (Representing Forza Motorsport 4)
2013 Viper Viper GTS (Representing Forza Horizon 1)
2013 McLaren P1 (Representing Forza Motorsport 5)
2014 Lamborghini Huracan LP 610-4 (Representing Forza Horizon 2)
2017 Ford GT (Representing Forza Motorsport 6)
2016 Lamborghini Centenario LP 770-4 (Representing Forza Horizon 3)

I love the blueprint feature especially because you can select what cars are eligible. There's always quite a few cars that can fit easily into multiple categories so it's nice to mix and match. Plus I like longer races which is easily done with circuit tracks at least.

I don't really have much to share at this point, but I'm in the middle of a budget car endurance championship in Surfers Paradise that has been a blast thus far. Most of the races take about 15 minutes to do except for the one P2P race.

This blueprint feature is beyond any doubt, THE best feature ever introduced (imo). I've created so many blueprints so far. No pics sadly, but here are just a few I've made:

1) Spartan Driving School (10 Cross Country Races restricted to the Halo UNSC Warthog)
2) Shooting Stars (5 Scramble Races restricted to all 3 Polaris RZRs)
3) Out Of The Comfort Zone (Cross Country Race restricted to the Reliant Regal Supervan)
4) Bubble Bash (Scramble Race restricted to the BMW Isetta 300)
5) G.P. Noire (Circuit Race restricted to 1940s and 1950s cars)

I have to concur, the blue print feature is one of the best things about FH3. Here's a few of mine:

1.) Modern Performance (Sport Sedans, Coupes, and wagons racing.)
2.) Team RS Challenge (Ford RS Models)
3.) Ford All Stars

I have more planned in my head, including some ones from the Gran Turismo series:
1.) Type R Meeting
2.) Spider and Roadster
3.) FR Challenge
4.) MR Challenge
5.) 80s Japanese Cup
6.) 90s Supercar Festival
7.) Viper Festival of Speed
8.) Mustang: Legend of the Pony
9.) Camaro Meeting
10.) Civic Trophy
11.) Focus Challenge
12.) Vette Vette Vette
13.) 3-Series Cup
14.) Club ///M
15.) Deutsche Tourenwagen Masters
16.) Classic Australian Touring Car Championship
17.) Audi Group Challenge (I would say VW Audi Group, but there's not VW, so...)
18.) Legend of the Silver Arrow
19.) Elise Trophy
20.) Clio Cup
21.) American Supercar Cup
22.) Group B vs SUVs
23.) Majestic Birds, Ford Falcon Event
24.) Pack of Cats (Jaguars)

So ran a GTE only race today and it was just as fun as I imagined it would be. Then depressing since I had to wait for Horizon to do it instead of doing it in Forza 6. Now plan on creating a 'Underground' blueprint featuring all cars from NFS Underground 1 and 2 with races set to night.

I've made a few blueprints based around Group A touring and rally cars, quite surprised at how many cars in the game actually fit into these classes.

Group A Touring Car Legends (Southside Circuit, Surfers Paradise)
  • 1992 Alfa Romeo Milano Quadrifoglio Verde
  • 1991 BMW M3
  • 1986 BMW M635 CSi
  • 1987 Ford Sierra Cosworth RS500
  • 1988 Holden VL Commodore Group A SV
  • 1990 Jaguar XJ-S
  • 1990 Mercedes-Benz 190E 2.5-16 Evolution II
  • 1993 Nissan Skyline GT-R V-Spec
  • 1985 Toyota Sprinter Trueno GT Apex
  • 1990 Vauxhall Lotus Carlton
Group A Outback Rallycross (3 race Scramble championship)
  • 1991 BMW M3
  • 1992 Ford Escort RS Cosworth
  • 1987 Ford Sierra Cosworth RS500
  • 1992 Lancia Delta HF Integrale EVO
  • 1999 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution VI GSR
  • 1992 Mitsubishi Galant VR-4
  • 1990 Subaru Legacy RS
  • 1998 Subaru Impreza 22B STi
  • 1994 Toyota Celica GT-Four ST205
  • 1992 Toyota Celica GT-Four RC ST185

Last night, I created three Subaru themed championships. I want to try out a format I have in mind for events. In general, I've always found the events in Horizon to be a bit too short and not long enough to appreciate the car or type of car I'm driving. So how I will go about making my events is to make three championships around a theme, with each championship being longer than the last.

So here's how I designed my Subaru event series:

Stars of Pleiades I

Centered around road racing. 4 races.

Stars of Pleiades II

Centered around off-road racing. 5 races.

Stars of Pleiades III

A mix of road and off-road racing. 6 races.

For the sake of variety, I picked a different location for each individual race instead of hosting them all in the same festival area.

On another note, a minor problem I have with the Blueprint feature is that you can only host one exhibition and championship per race location, so I'll eventually have to replace my previous events to make room for new ones.

Loving the Blueprint feature. However, are we supposed to be able to see other players created blueprints? I can see my friends races, but nobody else. So I guess what I'm asking is do I need to have people on my friends list in order to see other blueprint races?

Yes, you have to that person in your friend's list to play their events.

Bit of a shame we can't make our own routes, though.
I found a nice tōge I wanted to make a point-to-point on, and I wanted to try to replicate the Surfer's Paradise Street Circuit.

3 Blueprints inbound.
American Classics - Basically, all classic American Cars bounded together. Just an exhibition race for now though. I'll make a championship once I complete more exhibition races.

Group B Rally Meeting - A championship that comprises of every car in FH3 that I could think of was in the Gr B rally class or at least was going to be in it. I even included the Mercedes 190E since they almost entered it in that class.

Team RS Challenge - Well, I mentioned it already, but here's a screenshot of it. Sierras will race with RS200s, Foci, and the Escorts.

Admittedly I didn't look too closely, but is there any way you can set the driver aids for your bucket list challenge? I only have ABS switched on and manual shifting, but some of my friends use other assists.

I think I missed some settings somewhere but how do you set up a blueprint race
With all the same cars. I.e all focus RS and not other hatchbacks. Is this easily done? :)

It can be easily done actually. Go to the last tab on the right in blueprints, that will give you an option to select specific cars for whatever race you have in mind. Then, just click on the Focus RS and exit.

Cheers:cheers: only just seen the other tab! That was easy thanks :gtpflag:

More of my events.

FF Challenge 1 - FWD cars just in D and C class.
FF Challenge Lvl 1.png

All cars that I could think of being in the 1990s/Early 2000s WRC in rally car form. There wasn't an Audi RS2 Avant rally car, but it was the closest I could get to using an Audi S2 rally car.

NR-A Roadster Cup.png

It was the name for the Vette event in Gran Turismo 4.

Question about Bucket List blueprints;

After creating one it ask you to recommend it to friends, but only allows you to select 10. Are those 10 the only ones that can see it?

AFAIK, publishing it means it's available to everyone on your friends list. Sharing it just sends a notification to specific friends.

I've made some pretty strange Blueprint races, I've been mucking around trying to take modern road cars and make them competitive with Group B cars, then testing it out on Scramble races, and Cross Country Circuits... So if you come across a race with Group B cars, and a random other car, now you know why. So far none of the cars have been competitive (funny that). I also tend to name my races with actual names like Fred, Deirdre, and Baldrick.

More events.

1990s High Speed Sprint - Basically 1990s supercars racing each other.
GT1 Class A - I picked every car that I recall racing against in Class A whenever playing Gran Turismo 1 in arcade mode.
Retro 4-Doors - The only error I made here is that I accidentally included the Jaguar XJS, I could fix that though.
Retro Touring Cars - Cars that entered the Touring Car Championships during the 80s and 90s.
Silvia Sisters - Another manufacture event I resurrected from GT4.
