The first thing I did in GT 5 was get gold on all the license tests and SEs. Easy millions because not only do you not have to buy any cars to compete in those, they also give you cars so you don't have to buy any for a lot of the other races.

Since money is not my main objective I use the Indianapolis race in the Dream Car Championship to get my exp.

I net in 9800 exp in just over 7 and a half minutes, which is about 20000 more exp per hour than the american race at indy, however you only get half as much cash (over an hour it adds up to about 500,000 credits).

I'm doing the dreamcar championship to level up. It's a lot funnier than like the wind, I personnaly dislike doing oval over and over. +3 laps in nurb/la sarthe wiht weather change is nice ^^

I'm currently on level 20, A spec and I've been using the cars that I've won to race events. The only thing I do is buy the car either SS tires or RS tires. I still don't have enough money. I've completed most of the Special Events with GOLD and I'm still not balling like other guys.

The american race at indy just takes 4 minutes for 4.400 exp by the time you finished one indy on dream car you almost finished 2 indy's on the american challenge. The difference in exp. isn't that big you see and the american challenge earns more cash.
In my opinion the american challenge is still the best money/exp. earning race.

People are talking about buying 4-20 million dollar cars and i really dont understand how people make that much. Im level 15 A-spec and 3 B-Spec.

I got up to like 810,000 and then bought a lambo to do races and got mod so now i only have 630,000 after more races. I unlocked extreme events but did not do any events yet.

How much will the later races and races in extreme mode make you?

Yeah those guys you read about and see with all those sort of cars are cheating.

As others have said Extreme Race American Championship on Indianapolis takes about 4mins for 98,000Cr

I got A-spec level 23 and have about 3 million
Today i'm going to do the american championship indy race about 20 times to reach lvl. 24 A-spec and to get 5 million credits so I can buy the FormulaGT.
Never used the birthday glitch

I just spent a hard earned $10m on the F10. Came from B-spec over, and over, and over again. I can't wait to get the endurance races in B-spec. Some money is to be had there!

Bspec endurance races are awful for cr awards. The first paid 27000 for 60 laps of grand valley (took nearly 2 and a half hours), the second paid 32000 for four hours at tsukuba and the third I've fine paid a similar amount got 90 laps of laguna seca.
If they added a zero to each of them it would still be a bit tight on the cr award., especially when you can aspec one race for 6 minutes and get 98000!

Personally I prefer grinding the "Dream Car Championship" in extreme using the X1.

The races take about 7-13min to complete and give about 80kr a race if I remember correctly. Now, that does'nt amount to the same amount of credits/hour as farming the Indy track.

However.

The clumpsum of 480.000c for winning the championship (get 4 wins, quit the last race and win by points anyways) makes it worth it, since it does'nt get boring.

Just driving the Indy over and over and over, ain't much fun IMO.
Thereby I'd rather drive the X1 around 4 tracks and pick up the championship prizecredits for farming.

Also, if you do take the amount of time needed to re-enter the race and so on with the loadingtimes, I do believe this method actually gives you more credits/hour than farming the Indy track. However, I'm not sure.

Was watching a Japanese guy on Justin.tv earlier today and he had 476million.

If it's like previous games I think the Japanese credits are 1/100 of the EU/US credits. So 476 million would be equivalent to 4.76 million of ours. I think it's to make credits closer to local currency...

Steve.

I've got 5.5 million and haven't had to grind yet. Level 25 gold everything so far. The Special events pay well.

Thats because hes Japanese and it's 476m of his currency which is like x100 or something like that compared to the EU and American currency. He has about 5m i'm guessing.

I have a better solution - same money in less time
I grind the Dream car championship it gives you also about 750.000 - 5 races
but i do it with the X1, so in about 25 mins i earn 750.000 with the X1 and if i skip the last race wich is about 15 min long.....

so easy money for me here - but you must have the X1 otherwise you will drive 1h for 750.000

Wow, until now i didnt know how to find my old posts and theres like 50 posts in here. I read all these and i figured out im gonna do the championship a few times and the indy one ALOT. THANKS ALOT GUYSSS.

What's the CHEAPEST car that will guarantee you a win at the Extreme Indy grind?

I mean, it seems like you need a multi-million credit car to be competitive, but only grinding this MAKES you the credits, so it's cart before the horse...

The ZR-1 and all of it's upgrades is just over a million I think, that's not bad at all, you should really have some money saved up anyway after all the events you beat getting there.

...unless of course you've been foolishly splashing money about.

Giving in to the temptation to buy every interesting car you see and modding it to the extreme is expensive. The special events and the Extreme series will net you serious cr. Anyway, I prefer investing my money in a wealthy garage instead of letting it rot in my wallet. I bought the Zonda R many days ago. A ZR1 with racemod today and I'm at 1,5mill. Also bought a lot of other cheaper cars and modded them. If I didn't I could probably have afforded a Audi R10 TDI or the Formula GT easily by now. It's all about shopping preferences.

Ten laps for that? That's like 15 minutes compared to Indy's sub-five minute races.

I'm pretty sure grinding out Tokyo would be good for XP though. I remember getting some stupidly high XP amount compared to the other races. I think it was 20k XP.

All you need is a Viper ACR that's fully tuned! It destroys the competition at Indy!

It's by far the car I've used most in the game. 1506.2 miles in it & 85 wins. I love it.

how'd you tune your suspension accordingly?

Will it win Like the Wind?

I too am interested in your tune, since I've got a maxxed out ACR in my garage that I have hardly used...

guys, check out the subaru 360, i won "Like the wind" with it fully tuned. I also did 5'15 Nurburgring lap time with it.
