How can I turn off auto save??

You can't really turn it off but there is an option.
Copy your save file to a USB stick or whatever, then just do whatever you want not saved. Afterward delete the save file on the ps3 and replace it with your backup. Essentially turning off autosave. The hard way.

I thought TC was referring to the game saving every time you enter the main menu, disabling that would speed up navigation.
