How come you can't play Citta di Aria in arcade mode?

I thought you could?! I'm pretty sure I raced it in 2 player mode at a friends, it was just named someting else I thought? Maybe not though, could just be my imagination. Narcotics have that effect on people, which would explain why I remember the cartoon panda bears eating grapes knockin my car over during the race. 💡 :scared:

You have to be past a certain point in teh game for tracks to become unlocked, so you're probly not to that point yet. If youre past that point, then it should be there. Ive raced on it before in Arcade mode.

stuff like that pisses me off. like how some tracks for rally arnt available in 2 player but are fine in single player arcade.

yeah it's kind of random.. you can't race Citta di Aria in arcade Single race mode. and you can't race George V Paris, New York, Tsukuba-WET, SS5, Autumn Ring, El Capitan, C Rocks (1 and 2), Chamonix and Grand Canyon in 2P mode.

I believe the devs couldn't get a steady 60fps on those tracks so they excluded them from certain modes.

I was thinking about too. I would greatly love to race in Tsukuba Rain 6 players :(.

I'm pretty sure the omitted 2P tracks have to do with hardware constraints. But as to Citta di Aria in Single-Race, that's a stumper. It supports an AI car with you in GT Mode, and you can play it in 2P mode, so why not single race!?

Do I have to be the weird one all the time? Maybe I'm making the American racing fan argument, but this track offers very little in the way of passing and such. The typical American racing fan expression for a track like this is called "Follow the Leader racing." And as I checked, you can race it in Two-Player, Time Trial, and I guess LAN Play as well. I don't know about LAN play because I'm not an online gaming junkie. So, I'm sorry about not being able to race it in Arcade Mode.

The other Italian city course (Costa di Amalfi) is still very fun and easier, even if longer than Citta di Aria. I don't know. I guess I've always had a natural hatred of racing Citta di Aria, much like my natural hate of Autumn Ring (full circuit). Citta di Aria isn't that bad, though. In fact:

The worst City Course implemented into a game: Canberra (Pro Race Driver).

ive definatly raced on el capitan in 2P mode

I doubt that.I am looking at the 2P track selection screen right now and there is no El Capitan on it.

I also noticed another thing wich i found strange. In 2P some of the tracks are low-res.I figured it was because they were too demanding for the PS2.In particular Fuji Speedway 80's and 90's versions. But then i went to race on the new Fuji and it didn't have any low-res textures like the old Fuji. Now i wonder why is that? The new Fuji has a lot more detail on the track and in it's surroundings compared to the old Fuji and yet the old one is low-res and the new one is high-res while logically that should be the other way around.Something isn't right.

I believe you can change up the Course Registration in the Options menu to allow Citta di Aria to be used in LAN play. So if you choose not to race it in LAN play, you don't have to as long as it's registered as not being used.

You didn't really check before you wrote that, did you?
I have all tracks unlocked and there is no Citta di Aria available for course registration, LAN or otherwise. It is available through Arcade Mode's racing, though.

I have no idea what your last statement means, but don't bother explaining.

Cheers,

If you had played GT3 you would be used to that :\

Unfortunatly, some tracks are not available in single race. In GT3 was complex string the chosen one. It might have been because of the complexity of the tracks, or something like that. In this case, I do not understand.

Lets just play in Nürburgring Nordeschleife :P
