How do I backup SAVE DATA v1.05 update

Please help me out guys, Im scared to death of losing my cars and A spec B Spec data.

How do you backup save game and does it save stealth cars too?

On your PS3 XMB screen goto Saved game data then press Traingle on GT5 and hit copy.

I believe:

Download update;
Save game;
Go to XMB and find your save (Game - Save Data);
Locate the GT5 save (NOT GAME DATA);
Press Triangle, and copy to an external device (USB drive etc)

AH i wish this update was brought on Friday i could have backed my game save up at uni and played on the ps3 at home Gonna have to wait till Jan 7th now!!!

Any chance of using game saves now? - Just asking instead of starting again on the "home" ps3?

I think they're classed as game data so they wouldn't be included, it's possible though since they're only keys. Can't you just go to your download history on the PSN store and get them again?

XMB is Xross Media Bar, the screen when you first start up the PS3 or hit the home button on the controller while in game. It's the one with all of the different game, options, and PSN icons.

Back up is a few MBs at most, I dont know the exact figure offhand.

Go to saved game utility, put a USB drive in the PS3, select the GT5 data, and copy to the USB drive.

Nevermind, I connected the USB drive before turning on the PS3 and it finally showed up

is your USB drive formatted to fat32? if not, it wont be recognized.

Thats your PS3 Update version which is correct 1.55

... GT5 version is up to 1.05.
