When I was 12 I babysat my neighbour's kids after school every day and got paid 50 bucks a week. That's how I bought my PS3. So suck it up, mow some lawns, babysit, or do odd jobs to make some money. Or just deal with the TV you have now.

Secondly on topic. You know at 12 consider yourself lucky with a ps3 and if you get a g27 then that. Kids are so spoilt with stuff these days it's amazing. Why do you need an hdtv? Why do you need 1080p?
If your saving for one save through presents, babysitting, mowing, snow shoveling, or ref/umpire sports in the coming years which I did before getting part time work. You can find a refurbished 720p tv in the 20 inch range for $100 or less and if your so desperate then go with that.
By the way nothing wrong with Samsung. Had a Samsung tube which was awesome for many years and now both my girlfriend and I's LCD's are Samsung and again no problems and very happy with them...
How about just being grateful for what you've got in life? There are millions of people starving in africa and you're moaning about not getting the latest TV? Grow up kid and do a reality check. If my lad complained about such trivia i'd take his playstation off him to make him realise just how lucky he was!
Try doing a deal with your mother. For example if you have a school subject that you are weak on do a deal where if you can get an "A" on your next test/assignment/report card that you get the TV as a reward.
