How do you Duplicate?

I want to know how to do this and how long it would take

Save your game, save your savegame to a usb ,(take the usb out of ps3) start up gt5 , send the car, color ,suit etc etc , to your second account, ( if you dont have 1 extra make one extra) , quit gt5 , load your save back to your ps3 from the usb , and you see you have your ( for example) car back , and that same car is in your second account, thats it

Problem would be that if the PSN is under maintenance, as in my region it is, you cannot yet create another account until it's back on-line.

Get a USB storage device and put it into your PS3
Go to save data utility and highlight GT5, press triangle, copy, select USB device.
Load up GT5 and send whatever it is your sending to your friend/ alterate account.
Exit to the XMB, go to saved data utility, go to your USB device, highlight GT5, press triangle and copy.
