... just get by them all on the first corner and hold them all off.

or do you aggresively pass them as quick as you can any way you can (ramming...)

Or do you wait patiently for the comp to make that costly mistake.

Normally i just barge my way through if i have a car that is more powerful than the rest of the pack. If i have a balanced car that is competitve against the AI then i generally pass them with more caution to keep things real and improve my handling skills.

Im starting to believe that having a 'too-powerful' car is cheating, and i like to give my self more competion and have a car that is roughly the same specs as the AI.
:D

It depends on how hard the AI is.
I mostly play arcade mode in hard so that gives me 5 laps to race...I'm not too much in a rush to step on it and just pass them all immediately. I like to take my time and pass each AI by drafting him and drifting around the course a bit, its more rewarding.

I usualy draft the AI, pass them around the corners. But If I start in poll then I usualy dont have any AI to pass unless I stuff up.

i try something interesting by either squeezing by them in the inside of a turn, or try to pass them on the outside of the turn...

Well i was doing the Pro Nissan challenge. Practicing my drifting at SSR11 in a stock calsonic skyline. (i spun about 4 times each lap). But when i tried to squeeze by them all in the quick right left right away i was clipped by a couple cars and i hit the wall and spun like 3 times. so ihad about 9 laps to catch up to first(they had like a 35 second lead before i got going the right way so it took about a lap or 2 to catch up)

I like to try passing them on the inside of a corner without making any contact. Lots of fun, and helps build up your thinking-on-your-feet skills. :)

Are you kidding me! Straightways for me, there's nothing like pulling behind then pulling right and flooring it with the Skyline Turbo.:p

I don't like passing them on the straights. If I can out drag them, it means I don't have to be able to out corner them.

I used move to the inside towards the end of the straights and outbrake them, but I started to realize that was hurting my habitual line when driving alone. After a comment by Der Alta got me thinking, I've started to keep on the line, and brake a bit early, then squirt by to the inside when they make their inevitable clumsy mid-corner correction.

The former is exactly what I used to do, and the latter is exactly what I do now. 👍 (Heh, I remember trying to outbrake them... that could garner some pretty interesting results if using, say, a squishy-braked TVR! But squeezing past them when they take the corner too damn wide works vedy well.)

I usually pick a similar specced car or a slightly lesser car and outdrive them. Passing is relatively easy as they aren't that good at cornering...

Passing the AI is quite easy really, they brake early and genarally cant go 'round a track to save themselves
But saying that, I like to pass down the straight or into a corner

I like to pass the AI cleanly. If I accidentally bump them I'll drop behind them again and have another go, for me it just helps to make an interesting race of it.

i usually try to out break 5th and 4th place by the first corner then settle into a rhythm picking my places to take the rest... sometimes i win and sometimes i dont...

too much hp is evil and so is barging them. (so is taking too many shortcuts for that matter).

a friend of mine that hybrided a fiat and boasts alot about it. but it sucks on the 400m, which is why he did a cadilac that does it in 2.000 compared to my 3.750
🤬 YOU ANTHONY!
