Stock toyota trueno (AE86) can go up to 222 km/h I've tried at Le Sarthe

222 km/h = 119.79 mp/h

Oh god, I know! That car is evil, cant even stay straight on the test track! :yuck: Interesting that they made it rear wheel drive, thats initally what made me upgrade it.. to see its potential.

Thats funny, I'm going to have to give that a go sometime. I found handling problems with the Spitfire as well when I lowered the suspension to aid wind resistance......going around the curve on the test ring threw it from side to side. Had to go back closer to original settings to get through the run in one piece. :ouch:

On another note, I'm thinking about editing my initial post in this thread and making a list of all the cars that have been testes in this thread. It would give test results and possibly name the person who tested it, if they dont mind being mentioned. Nothing elaborate, nothing official, just a little list for comparison sake. The editing would stay on the first post and be an ongoing and updated thing as cars tests are posted. If anyone is opposed, feel free to say.

Honda LIFE STEP VAN:

Drag - 16.871

Top End - 138

A particularly horrendous spoiler mount as well. lol.

I'll stop and leave some more fun to others...

Well done 👍

I've only managed 129.60 mph (w/out horrendous spoiler) lol

I'm doing my runs on the test track (top speed test), might get more out of them with a longer run, but want to keep a record of the official speed...anyone notice how doing this knocks a couple of n/ths off your speed?

I noticed that too, during the run the speedo says 198, then when the results come through it says 197.834 or whatever...now sometimes ya just need that extra little bit, like when your going for the big 200 and have to settle for a 199.99 :banghead: Sooooo close yet so far....lol.

Well I created the list I mentioned in a previous post. Just go to the 1st page to my first posting that started this thread for the complete rundown. Feel free to keep on posting your results and I'll try my best to keep it updated. If anyone wishes their name removed from the list, please let me know and I'll oblige.

Thanks,

Same here.

I'm crusing the used car lots and see an MR car with 51hp. I had to blink a few times and make sure it didn't say 151.

Before when I tested I did it sans spoiler. I went back and added one, but with no luck. That little thing is just plain deadly :nervous:.

When (not if) you hit the Armco on the bank you fly about ten feet in the air. IRL, you're talking about a sub-compact car alright. About half the size of what it used to be. Not that it was ever meant to go 150+mph IRL. :)

But it was quite a little beast at the drag strip.

Okay...so maybe I'll try one more. :D

Alright, I decided to backtrack and complete the National Licenses - I had been given them free due to GT4:P. Anyhoo, I have spotted the Citroen C3, and it shall be the next car I'll tune I think.

Found the ultimate beast, the '63 Daihatsu Midget. Lightweight, shoebox aerodynamics, 38 HP and 3 wheels make this a handful on the corners to say the least. :nervous:

Managed the 1/4 mi in 18.214 and a top end of 84 MPH. Now the crazy thing is....OK, ONE of the crazy things are that it actually has the power to go faster, maybe even 100 but it simply runs out of gears and hits redline. This despite adjusting the gears as much as allowed. Still with styling like this, who cares about speed.....damn, I knew I couldnt say that with a straight face.

Alright - The Citroen C3.

Cracking little car far the oval - very stable at the neck breaking speeds of -

210 mph!

I was so surprised when this car went past the record of the bluebird and got 210 - It was faster round the test track than the Shelby Series One!

Other stats:

0 - 60: 6.700 (well it is an FF)

0 - 400m: 0'13.972 (again, drivetrain hampered it a little here)

Wey-hey deimos, that C3 really flies 👍 , Have to say however the Bluebird is still one of my personal favs, it truly has surprise factor.

Found another little killer I couldnt resist. The '58 Subaru 360 WRX, OK who am I trying to kid, its not really a WRX  ....BUT the unassuming little slug actually hit 120.93. Acceleration not all that bad either considering what it is, 16.186 in the 1/4 mi.

superbad, good work on the Honda Z 👍

Now, I'm gonna fire up the Daihatsu Midget again and go terrorising a few circuits.

Just thought I'd report in about that Daihatsu Midget, well I thought I'd give it a go round the Nurburgring and I have to say I'm somewhat impressed that it did it in 12:02.326.

The funny part however is that the tyre wear indicator on the lower left of the screen showed wear for 4 tyres as usual, this despite the fact that the Mighty Midget has only 3 wheels! At least the front tyre(s) showed even wear. :p

I've been campaigning the Z ACT in the beginner's hall, getting big A spec points - it's a blast!
Very satisfying, as you need to adjust the gears to the track.
As the car is so small, the laughing gas lasts out most races on full power too. 👍

Honda life step van is a lot of fun to race when tuned, get it lowered and watch the sparks fly...

I'm in the Mitsi '70 GTO mr at the moment - love the 'mini-mustang' styling.

I was messing around with the Ford Model T Tourer 1915 car, and I went to Midfield Raceway.

I was seeing what the Top Speed could be, and by going on a level surface, I could get it to 56 MPH and it would slow down, but I went to the big hill by the Start/Finish line, and I hit 56, then let off the gas and let it roll downhill, and I hit 61 MPH in that baby, I started to lean forward in my seat because I felt like I was going 200 in that thing! hehe

So:

Car:Ford Model T Tourer
Top Speed: 61 MPH
Downhill Midfield Raceway
